I had an invitation to attend . . . but received it around noon yesterday and had to reply by 2:00 p.m. . . . and I didn’t feel like I could hit the road and attend with such short notice . . . I should have gone, I just really hate driving and parking in Downtown Birmingham. I did go see him last week here in Huntsville.

Romney didn’t go to Atlanta, and won’t go to Birmingham, and he wants Southern Conservatives to vote for him. I think one poll did showed Romney leading among Alabama democrats. I’m sure they can hardly waiy to get him on the November ballot. Paul not going either? I’m surprised at least one member of team Romney won’t show up.
Well, I'm just glad to hear some Newt supporters got invites.. I was worried about the audience being stacked for Santorum or Paul. There's still time to invite a few people over and have a little impromptu watch party, if you're so inclined.
looking forward to going to vote with my DD who will be voting for the first time tomorrow . . . she turned 18 in Jan. and will be another vote for Newt! Seems like just yesterday when I’d take both kids with me to vote in their strollers and get our “I Voted” stickers. I always took them with me so they’d know how important our voting rights are. So I will wait until she gets out of school at 3:00 and we’ll go together. :)
I got her two buttons at the Newt event so she can start a Presidential campaign button collection IF she so desires. She wanted me to check her out that day to go with me. Wish I’d have started one at her age . . . and IF I did I’d have some prized RR one’s in my collection.
Well, it’s on C-Span. A political junkie like me will be watching for sure. But, I wonder how many AL & MS voters will watch. But, hey, if just 10 percent of the Primary Voters view this Debate, it will be worth it.

That is so sad; coming from a “fine Christian man” like Rev. Rick. Tsk, tsk. He and the “good little Mormon boy” both just seem to forget their Religion in the political arena. Now, are there any of you out there who STILL think that Newt and Rick will make a deal for the nomination???? One at the top of the Ticket and one in the second spot? IT AIN’T HAPPENIN’ BABY. They don’t like, or respect, each other. There will NOT be a GOP Ticket in 2012 made up of Gingrich/Santorum or Santorum/Gingrich. It ain’t happenin’.
