When President Obama talks about today's sky-high gasoline prices, he almost always laments that there's little anyone can do in the short term to bring them down.
"There is no silver bullet" is his common refrain, one he used again at his press conference on Tuesday.
But as gasoline prices reach historic highs they've shot up more than 28 cents a gallon in just the past month the government could make a dent.

The rules need to be abolished. The EPA don't want no stinkin' flexibility to waive them.
P.S. And don’t worry about the double post. I did that once and the five year banishment from FR and the garnishment of my wages flew by in no time.

Not only was I fined and banished, but some old Amish guy came to my house at night, and pushed his way into my home when I opened the door.
Before I could stop him he'd produced a pair of scissors and snipped off half an eyebrow 'cause I got no beard.
Then he vanished out the door and into the night.
I complained immediately to Jim Robinson, 'n y'know what I was told?
Fined, banished, eyebrow snipped, tires deflated, and then they filled my iPod with Obama speeches!
I’m quickly becoming concerned.
