What a good idea! Let’s outsource our Military to China.
What could go wrong?

Obamalateral disarmament ping
Obama is murdering this country.
What vacuum? Possible far-off future projected decline? Don’t make me laugh. With troops across the globe, two ongoing wars, spending the most relatively, having the best technology, and so on. I don’t think even a Hitler could plausibly argue we’re soft on the issue, Dem cuts or no Dem cuts.
We need to cut back on our policing of the world and put effort into protecting our own soil. I've been saying the next big war will be on US soil and with China and others who aren't our friends beefing up, it's bound to happen - soon.
One can only plead ignorance or be lying, when faced with the FACT of disseminating "factually incorrect" data.
We will rue this. Mark my words, this is a lesson that will be re-learned by spending American blood.
Nothing invites aggression like weakness, or the perception of weakness.
You would think, after WWII that as long as even a single American from that generation drew breath, we wouldn’t make this mistake again.
It is the 1930’s all over again, this time on steroids.
Part of the “plan” thanks to Dumbo the Wonder President.
The US homeland could never be successfully be invaded by a conventional military - geography and logistics alone dictates that. As Lincoln put it, “All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years.”
No, what could very easily happen is for our global influence to shrivel away to nothing, the world’s lanes of commerce wrested away from us, until we find ourselves pushed back to America. There have been many great powers that were incapable of acting outside their own immediate regions - China has been a good example of that, historically speaking. Just 20 years ago, China had negligible amounts of international influence, and was incapable of exerting power beyond its neighbors. That is what might to us, not China steaming 6,000 miles across the Pacific and trying to land armored divisions in Portland.
Naaaaah,
....aaaand China is too far and they speak funny
I, I, I, komander in chiefff

Investment Business Daily actually publish a “The Chinese are coming! The Chinese are coming!!!!” article. They are the same newspaper that esteems free trade and defended corporate America for offshoring manufacturing technology to China because it is free trade!!! Now they are freaking out that China plans to modernize and build up their military with US technology transfers!!!!! I don’t won’t to hear about it anymore.
The whole idea of our forward strategy -- the Mahan Doctrine -- of the last 110 years is to avoid fighting a major war against major adversaries on U.S. soil.
The men who wrote the Mahan Doctrine, Adm. Mahan, President McKinley, and President Theodore Roosevelt, had all seen what a major war on U.S. soil looks like -- McKinley had been a captain in the Civil War, and Roosevelt saw the South after the war. The reality of war, is what the Mahan Doctrine is based on, and the extreme desirability of seeing to it that something like that never again happen on U.S. soil.
Fact: Almost half a million people died in the United States as collateral casualties of the Civil War -- almost as many as actually died on battlefields and in prison camps and field hospitals; and many of them were civilians. It was a major war that killed 3% of the U.S. population of 1860.
THAT is what fighting a major war at home, as opposed to overseas or on the high seas, means.
We must NEVER accept a war here at home. EVER.
Bozo is buying us a major war.
The Chinese "borrowed knife" strategy is working perfectly. They proliferate nuclear technology stealthily to known troublemakers (the Norks, Iran, Pakistan), and the US takes war after war taking it away from them or preventing them from developing nuclear weapons (the real reason for the Iraq War, remember, and a consideration in the Gulf War as well -- remember?).
We weaken ourselves, maybe get nuked, and the Chinese just sit there waiting to pick up all the pieces -- or jump us themselves.
Is everyone reading this thread on the same page, in that everybody knows Obama is dismantling the U.S. nuclear arms stockpile? He wants to be the "nuclear-free" president when he leaves office, is the cover story.
Of course. We would never but I wouldn't put it past Soros, Hussein, and half the SCOTUS and Congress to allow it. The way things are going, especially with who knows who all has been allowed inside our country legally, illegally, or who forgot to go home after their stay, and with Hussein standing by his homies, well...
Well, I know he is certainly playing up to his liberal base, which would be more than happy to see our entire military gutted.
I’ve never heard of the borrowed knife strategy, but it sure sounds viable to me.
NO Cheers, unfortunately.
