New York Times editor-turned-columnist Gail Collins’s Saturday column celebrated the 50th anniversary of the birth control pill and waxed on birth-control activist Margaret Sanger for several paragraphs, without touching on Sanger’s racism and support for eugenics. The online headline: “What Every Girl Should Know About Birth Control.”

One of his targets was Margaret Sanger, a nurse who wrote a sex education column, “What Every Girl Should Know,” for a left-wing New York newspaper, The Call. When Comstock banned her column on venereal disease, the paper ran an empty space with the title: “What Every Girl Should Know: Nothing, by Order of the U.S. Post Office.”

Sanger was the first person to publish an evaluation of all the available forms of birth control. As a reward, she got a criminal obscenity charge. She fled to Europe to avoid going to jail, and her husband was imprisoned for passing out one of her pamphlets. In the end, he got 30 days, and Anthony Comstock got a chill during the trial that led to a fatal case of pneumonia.

It was the courts that eventually gave women the right to not only have access to birth control, but also information that told them what was available and how to use it. (The first big victory had the memorable name of U.S. v. One Package of Japanese Pessaries.) Sanger, meanwhile, helped bring together the wealthy donors and brilliant researchers who would bring forth the first effective oral contraception.

As noted by the Neo-Neo-Con, Collins managed to write about Sanger, birth-control activist, without hinting at her darker passages. Here’s one of Sanger’s most notorious proposals, from a 1932 speech:

Keep the doors of immigration closed to the entrance of certain aliens whose condition is known to be detrimental to the stamina of the race, such as feeble-minded, idiots, morons, insane, syphilitic, epileptic, criminal, professional prostitutes, and others in this class barred by the immigration laws of 1924.

Margaret Sanger was a prominent leader in the eugenics and birth control movements that eventually led to the decriminalization of contraception and abortion. As a chief architect of the modern Culture of Death, Sanger’s legacy now includes the deaths of more than 40 million innocent, surgically aborted children in the United States alone.

Personal life
Margaret Louise Higgins was born in Corning, N.Y., on September 14, 1879—the sixth of 11 children. Her father was a vocal advocate of socialism and a critic of the Catholic Church who, by Sanger’s own admission, had a great impact on her education.[1] Her mother was a Catholic and Margaret was apparently baptized into the Church, though she abandoned it later in life.

In 1900, she began training to be a nurse but discontinued it soon after her 1902 marriage to architect William Sanger. They had three children. Prior to her 1921 divorce, she had at least three extramarital affairs. [2] In 1922, Sanger married the elderly J. Noah Slee, whose Three-in-One Oil fortune gave Sanger financial independence to pursue her birth control and eugenic goals.

Planned Parenthood founder
Planned Parenthood Federation of America traces its beginning to 1916, when Sanger opened America’s first birth control clinic in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was arrested under a New York law that forbade the dissemination of birth control information. Two years earlier, she was indicted under a federal statute for sending birth control information through the U.S. mail.

Eugenics and birth control
Sanger’s periodical, The Birth Control Review, passionately promoted eugenics, the belief that the human race could be improved if certain people did not reproduce. Typical of this philosophy was an April 1924 article in which Sanger likens eugenics to what a gardener or a farmer does with plants and animals:

“How are we to breed a race of human thoroughbreds unless we follow the same plan? We must make this country into a garden for children instead of a disorderly back lot overrun with human weeds.” [3]

I asked the admin mod to remove my ‘hasty’ posts, but so far nada.

Sorry for being so fluffy-minded tonight. It must be the second glass of wine that made me slip!

The Left ignores the taped calls to Planned Parenthood asking if donations can be targeted to black neighborhoods to keep down the minority populations. Sure, no problem.

The agenda is still accepted by those working in the abortion industry.

The Weather Underground agreed. They figured (at the time) that it might take killing 25 million or so Americans that would refuse to be re-educated.

If that sounds bad, legalized abortion has killed more than twice as many Americans.

Animal Rights vs Birth Control Pill

Practically all pharmaceutical products have been tested on animals, are derived from animals, or contain animal by-products. This includes most birth control drugs and devices. For instance, lactose (milk sugar) is a standard excipient (an inert substance that forms a vehicle for a drug). It is used in most pharmaceutical tablets, including birth control pills. In addition, pharmaceutical companies routinely conduct research on live animals for new or altered drugs. Consequently, all birth control drugs are the result of studies that included animal subjects and are produced by companies that are involved with vivisection. Most condom manufacturers test their products on animals and generally the spermicides and/or lubricants with which they are coated contain animal products

Estrogen in birth control diminishes sex organs in male rats.

A number of permanent oddities – such as deformed penises and smaller reproductive organs that were caused by exposure to the same estrogen found in birth control pills – contributed to the infertility seen in adult male rats exposed during the time when their reproductive organs were forming.

Recent animal research suggests that women who continue to take birth control pills well into pregnancy may unwittingly skew their boys’ reproductive development in ways that could diminish their sons’ fertility. Similarly, exposure to environmental chemicals that act like estrogen – such as certain pesticides and industrial chemicals, including bisphenol A – may also affect these organs if the exposure occurs during a sensitive time of development.

Researchers compared the effects of different levels of the estrogen used in birth control pills. Their results are published in the journal Toxicological Sciences.

They found that exposure to low levels of the hormone during development detrimentally affects the reproductive organs and fertility in the male rats tested. The rats have smaller testicles and other reproductive organs if  exposed to the low amount of estrogen a women may use daily in certain birth control pills. Testosterone hormone levels are also reduced. Exposure to just ten times that amount of estrogen permanently deforms penises and causes infertility in the adult animals.

This research is relevant to humans because more than 50 million women worldwide take contraceptive pills. Of those, 3 to 4 percent may take them into the second trimester of pregnancy, the authors say.

Have you come to the point in your life that you are sick and tired of the left.
I seriously want to start punching people in the face.
I have family that I love that I grow weary of, tiring to keep the peace, I want to break knee caps.
It’s late..........

Estrogen. Estradiol.

Female hormones from pregnant mares’ urine. Considered a drug. Can have harmful systemic effects. Used for reproductive problems and in birth control pills and Premarin, a menopausal drug.

Far from safe and risk-free, it is now being recognized that these steroid hormones are, in reality, dangerous and potentially life-threatening steroid drugs that cause grave harm to women. The sexual freedom that women have fought so hard to attain, has been won at a terrible price. In fact, with hindsight, it will very likely be recorded in history that the widespread prescribing of synthetic hormones to women was the biggest medical bungle in history. Most women taking the contraceptive pill (or that matter HRT) have very little idea about the hormones they are putting into their bodies nor are they knowledgeable about the potential side-effects. A soaring incidence of breast and cervical cancers as well as strokes, cardiovascular disease, blood clots, impaired immunity, infertility and major nutritional imbalances are only some of the conditions undeniably linked to these hormones.

The Pill’s Hidden Agenda

In the 1950’s, the specter of a world doomed by over-population was alarming scientists and governments in the industrialized West. Thus began a frantic rush to control populations. This coincided with the discovery of a relatively inexpensive process for making synthetic estrogen and progesterone that could be used as contraceptives known as the combined Pill.

Hormones not only direct and determine physiological processes but also influence emotional and psychological states. Besides controlling sexual development and function, hormones also help to control growth and muscle building, regulate the digestive system, blood sugar levels, blood pressure and fluid balance.

Hormones also hold the key to subjective feelings and changes in blood chemistry associated with stress. Hormonal imbalances not only create a myriad of health problems and diseases but can also undermine self-esteem, a sense of well being, emotional balance and mental acuity.

A Bitter Pill to Swallow, The Betrayal of Oral Contraceptives

by Sherrill Sellman, author of Hormone Heresy: What Women MUST Know About Their Hormones
GetWell International, 1998

Breast Cancer and the Pill

For the best part of two centuries we have known that sex hormones cause cancer in hormone-dependent tissues like the breast. In 1940, around the time that pharmaceutical estrogenic chemicals were first appearing on the market, an American woman’s lifetime risk of breast cancer was 1 in 20. In 1995 the risk is now 1 in 8. In Australia, it is presently 1 in 14.

” Every study shows an increase now”, confirms Carol Ann Rinzler, author of the authoritative book Estrogens and Breast Cancer . Rinzler is especially worried about the youngest users who may take the Pill for four years or longer prior to birth of their first child. These young women, she explains, are at the highest risk of cancer from the Pill and at the highest risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Teenagers are particularly vulnerable to the potent artificial steroid drugs contained in the Pill. According to a report in the November 1995 Natural Fertility Management newsletter, the Pill causes 150 chemical changes in a girl’s body.

The prevailing myth that the Pill is a safe and natural way to correct hormonal imbalances has lead to its widespread use in correcting teenagers menstrual cycles or alleviating painful periods. Puberty has now been medicalized. Even though nature often requires several years to help balance out a teenagers menstrual cycle, girls , as young as 13, complaining of irregularities will all too often be recommended the Pill to supposedly help “regulate” their periods. Such common practices are both irresponsible and highly dangerous.
