Elite National Media Dinner Set to Host Comic Who Smeared Palin in Vile Sexual Terms

The elite national media that is trying to destroy Rush Limbaugh over his calling liberal activist Sandra Fluke a 'slut' and 'prostitute' is set to host a comic who attacked Sarah Palin (and her son Trig) in vile terms.

The Radio and Television Correspondents Association (RTCA)announced in December that its 68th Annual Radio & TV Congressional Correspondents' Dinner to be held June 8, 2012, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. will be headlined by comic Louis C.K.

As reported by Brent Bozell, Louis C.K. repeatedly attacked former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin with crude language about her femininity. (Profanity edited):

A couple of years ago, “comedian” Louis CK “joked” on the Opie and Anthony radio show about Palin coming to the Republican convention “holding a baby that just came out of her ****ing, disgusting ****, her ****ing retard-making ****. I hate her more than anybody,” he said.

On Twitter, this “comedian” attacked Palin in 2011 as a “****ing ****off ****-face jazzy wondergirl” who “has a family of Chinese poor people living in her ****.”

Guess which event this same fellow is headlining in June? -- The Radio and Television Correspondents Dinner.

“We’re very excited about having Louis C.K. at the dinner,” said Jay McMichael of CNN, who chairs the Radio and Television Correspondents Associations’s executive committee. “This is an evening you’ll want to experience. We’re shaking things up, showcasing the unexpected, and delivering lots of laughs.”

Louis C.K. reportedly apologized, but apparently half-heartedly according to an account in Mediaite about a July 2011 GQ interview. (Profanity edited):

"We sat there suspended for a moment in earnestness, looking at each other over the table like, Life, huh? It’s just a bunch of relentless punches to the junk. And then he added: ‘All that other ****, though, saying Palin had a Chinese family in her **** and whatever, I don’t regret that. It’s comedy. I have said many indefensible things onstage. It’s ****ing comedy. Plus, I do believe if she got elected, she’d really Hitler up the place.’”

By tradition, the President or Vice President of the United States attends the dinner, though not always. Barack Obama spoke at the 2009 Radio & TV Congressional Correspondents' Dinner. Vice President Joe Biden spoke at the 2010 dinner.

There is no indication yet whether either will attend this year's dinner.

The left gets away with their double standard behavior because they have a more effective and established apparatus in which to distribute, package and reinforce their narrative. The internet, think tanks and cable news have leveled the playing field somewhat, but it will take a lot longer to have an impact on those who only passively pay attention to current events and who by their nature are most susceptible to leftist talking points. Overcoming the huge advantage of, for instance, the entertainment and academia industries, is a monumental task of which the right’s apparatus barely impacts.

Breitbart recognized this and was starting to adjust that paradigm. Hopefully the progress will continue after him.

First, anyone who compares any US political figure to Hitler has instantly lost the argument. No one is even close to him in any way. Not the same leage, the same ballpark, the same sport. And both sides do it. but everyone should acknwoledge that no one is Hitler. Obama isn’t. Bush isn’t. Pelosi isn’t. Clinton isn’t. Palin isn’t. No one is. Hopefully that’s something everyone can agree on.

Moreover I never really understood all these leftists and liberals who have all this hatred for Gov Palin. She’s never done anything to them. Louis CK lives in CA or NY. She’s had absolutely zero impact on his life. Or on anyone’s for that matter. Except in AK, where the people who actually were affected seemed to be pretty ok with her.

I could understand people not liking Bush or Cheney. If you were against the Iraq War or mad at the economy or upset at gay marriage or other issues, they were in charge. Fine. But the left has nothing to be upset about over Palin. No one was sent to Iraq or Afghanistan or anywhere because of her. No one lost their job or their savings or their house because of her. Not one gay guy was prevented rom marrying or going out with anyone because of her. And yet the hatred is glaring. I never understood it. If I was on the left why would I even care about her? Did I care about Edwards or Lieberman after Gore or Kerry lost? I’ve never understood this obsession.

As for the WHCD and Louis CK this is even worse than Rush. Rush speaks extemporaneously for 400+ hrs a year. Of course he’s going to say things he shouldn’t or later regrets.

The WHCD however has invited Louis CK knowing full well what he’s said. By inviting him they’re endorsing it. Would they have invited him if he’d said similar comments with a racial slant? Or against gays? Jews? I doubt it. (Maybe they would, who knows?).

Especially after the Rush thing I think an effort to get him removed from this would be successful if enough strength was behind it. Jay Carney should be asked tomorrow if the President supports an organization he’s associated with havin someone who has said things like this represent them? Remember, Obama was the 1st to call for Imus to be fired and specifically said that someone who speaks about women in that way should have no place on tv and he’d fire anyone in his employ who did so.

Lets see if he still belives that. If Obama appears at the WHCD he is saying he’s now ok with saying that kind of stuff.

If Obama really cares about civility, if he really wants to see both sides tone it down, he should come out and say that he won’t attend the WHCD if Louis CK remains the “entertainment”. They’d find someone else in a few seconds. I think it would actually help him politically. Be a Sister Souljah moment for him. The media would praise him for being above it all and standing up for civility.

Hopefully this gets some steam. This is an official media organization supported by the WH and the rest of the media giving a platform to someone who has said things that are clearly misogynist, racist, against children, pretty much everything you can think of.

Do all the media organizations that will attend this support him? Are they ok with it?

I guess we’ll find out. But it would be nice to see a major effort started to bring this up and see if any action can be taken, especially with the media and the left so all of a sudden intereste din civility and using disparaging language aimed at women.

Sandra Bernhard issued a blistering warning to Sarah Palin during a performance of her new one-woman show.

The Republican V.P. nom would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" if she enters Manhattan, Bernhard said. Palin is said to be making a campaign stop in New York next week.

"[The gang rape comment] is part of a much larger, nuanced, and yes, provocative (that's what I do) piece from my show about racism, freedom, women's rights and the extreme views of Governor Sarah Palin, a woman who doesn't believe that other women should have the right to choose," Bernhard told the Daily News today.

If you pay attention to the ads on ABC, NBC and CBS during the nightly news and Sunday AM shows, they are almost exclusivity for products/services aimed at people in their 60’s and up. Their audience will continue to shrink and everyone else gets their news from other sources.

CNN seems to only be found in airports, waiting rooms, etc. MSNBC is somehow still around and the largest cable news outlet is FNC.

Granted, far too many people get their news from Comedy Central and other leftist blogs that are only legitimized by the alphabet networks when someone from one gets on TV for a few minutes.
