Andrew Breitbart's final message to the left
Mpls Star Tribune ^ | 3/2/12 | STAR PARKER

If you think about it, Andrew Breitbart's untimely passing from this life, at age 43, might be seen as the ultimate message that this man of media could deliver.

Breitbart famously used his media talent, particularly his facility with new media and new journalism, to fight the agenda of the left.

And what could strike more effectively at the heart of the left's premises than the inscrutable death of a young and prodigiously talented, successful man -- a husband and father to four young children -- who still was scaling the heights of achievement?

The inconceivable and unanticipated are the rule of our lives, rather than the exception. Nothing more clearly delineates the political left from the political right than appreciation of this fact.

The left, after all, is about the pretense of planning, power and control. It's about the belief that man -- political man -- can define and control the world and can appoint himself the final authority to determine what is fair and then mete out justice.

The first words on this subject were spoken by the serpent to Eve about the prohibition on eating fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

"You will not surely die," the serpent told Eve, "for God knows that on the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

In his new book, "Coming Apart," social scientist Charles Murray provides a troubling snapshot of America, showing how the collapse of traditional values corresponds with our growing economic and achievement problems.

Murray quotes a 19th-century European immigrant to America, Francis Grund, who anticipated exactly what is happening today:

"Change the domestic habits of Americans, their religious devotion, and their high respect for morality, and it will not

The left hated Breitbart for his effectiveness in getting out the truth.

It's the same culture that forces me to get police protection to talk about personal responsibility on college campuses.

The final irony is that truth and compassion come from humility, not pride. Sadly, a cold and cruel left will not grasp this truth from Breitbart's unexpected death.

I think the left *feared* Breitbart, as much as they hated him.

"The Left does not win its battles in debate. It doesn't have to. In the twenty-first century, media is everything. The Left wins because it controls the narrative. The narrative is controlled by the media. The Left is the media. Narrative is everything. I call it the Democrat-Media Complex -- and I am at war to gain back control of the American narrative."

His drive, fearlessness, passion, energy, zeal and conviction are irreplaceable. Rush, I believe, to respect the memory of Breitbart and to show he himself would carry the Bretbart-torch got embroiled in this Fluke flap.

We lost one hero, the other day; I pray that loss gives birth to a million more like him.

People keep saying that...

I dont think they tapes were supposed to be released on March 1.

Any comments he made about March 1 refer to Sherrif Joe’s investigation/presser, correct?

Good. The Democrat Propaganda Ministry is captioning Ms. Fluke as a "Women's Rights Activist." The more that regular people learn about her, the more they will agree with Rush that she's a promiscuous, exhibitionist skank whose agenda is purely ideological, not financial.

Wow! Those posts by folks from the left are disgusting. I hope that when some figure on the left like Michael Moore passes that conservatives don’t fill the net with such vitriol. And they accuse Breitbart of ‘hate’.

I’ve seen those vague references...

Steve Bannon referred to these as “Obama Harvard Tapes” - so, I think this is going to be pretty limited - not his whole college career. Some of this stuff is already online in some form.

I cant imagine AB would pick the same day as Sherrif Joe’s well publicized presser to make his revelation...especially when AB was not really in the birther camp(correct me if Im wrong here)

Amazing that the Red Star ran this article. Reading comments on the link is more informative about the reasoning mechanisms of the left than any 1,000 word piece. Even worse, the snarky little thumb up/down poll after each comment makes the state of affairs even more clear - the barbarians aren’t at the gate; they’re in the keep.

The day he died was the Anniversary of the Weathermen’s bombing of the Capital.
Odd to me.
Did Ayer’s leave his calling card?

March 1, 1971

A bomb explodes in the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., causing an estimated $300,000 in damage but hurting no one. A group calling itself the “Weather Underground” claimed credit for the bombing, which was done in protest of the ongoing U.S.-supported Laos invasion.

Who saw Andrew fall?
Was there someone who walked by him moments before he fell?
Could someone knowing he had a bad heart, zapped him to give him a heart attack?
Will we ever know?
