A few months ago I was in Los Angeles for a car show, and decided to text Andrew Breitbart about getting together for drinks. We occasionally shared a glass or two whenever he was in Chicago, or I in L.A.
I'm temporarily handling the Iowahawk ping list while dighton is away.
Please let me know if you want to be added to or removed from the list.
Please ping me to Iowahawk articles. Thanks. :)
add me, I was born in Iowa.
Didn’t realize before reading this that Breitbart was adopted.
Hawk is actually in Chi-Town, but yer added. :)
I didn’t either. I will forever miss him.
Thanks.Really like this.
“Didnt realize before reading this that Breitbart was adopted.”
Me, either. Before yesterday all I knew about his background was that he was from LA, went to Tulane, was married and had kids (didn’t know how many). He was so unique, I hope a worthy successsor or two or a thousand can be found.
Just damn.
RIP Andrew Breitbart.
I’m enjoying all the stories.
Noting what a great man he was for our conservative fight, and yet he was excoriated around here by some. You know, no one is perfect down the line and some of us should be more forgiving because the good that is done overall, even if a conservative is softer on some issues.
Andrew was quite the man, and his support of gay conservatives didn’t take anything away from it. Those who excoriated him for it should think about how much he did in his short life for our cause.
I don’t normally use the word depressed to describe myself because being down a bit or sad isn’t depression, but I think I’ve really been depressed or something like it since learning of his death. My hope is that 20 greats will rise up to try to fill his shoes, and succeed!
