Super Tuesday next week will clear the fog.
Stupid Stupid GOP. You should have watched the glee that Fox News and even Rasmussen was portraying while explaining the results. It was disgusting. The only reason I had Fox on was because of Andrew’s death but I have since turned it off once I saw the adoration and relief that Romney was so far ahead.....completely repulsive.
I can only hope the they are are wrong about Newt's internals and that Newt can stage an upset on Super “T”!
GO NEWT!
Looks like the GOP-E might get their candidate. This is very, very scary because Romney will most likely lose the general. I cannot believe that 40% of GOP voters are willing to support a liberal just because he has an R after his name.
Rasmussen just pushes the elite meme.
Face it folks, they are not going to deny Romney the nomimation. Those two wins and voila, two days later everyone loves Mitt. It’s easy!
The media and the elites just play whack-a-mole if anyone else rises.
In the words of Don Meredith:
Turn out the lights; the party’s over.
They should separate out results for states who haven’t voted yet. The states that have voted so far are HEAVILY weighted to moderate states. I think only 2 of the top 25 most conservative states have voted yet. This particular poll gets less and less useful the more states that vote since it includes more voters who have already voted.
Let’s see how the states shake out in Tuesdays contests and see how good Milt is doing then.
Santorum down 11 and Romney up 13. Gingrich’s 2 could just as easily be statistical noise. If it continues at that rate, Romney will be over 50% soon and it won’t matter if Gingrich, Sanotorum, or Paul are in second. In fact, Romney and Paul are over 50% now. Since they have an alliance in all but name, that is ominous.
Ohio, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and possibly Washington could help arrest/reverse this. If he falls in these states much more, Romney will all but lock it up next Tuesday. I cannot believe there is not enough time for Gingrich to make it from third to first in those states.
I find it very funny that Newt’s poll numbers never change, either up or down.
The majority of GOP voters are beginning to believe, or already believe, that Santorum is simply unelectable. I’m one of them. In fact, I believe he would lose in a landslide.
Rick Santorum only supported unions and pork barrel spending when he was a U.S. Senator from a blue state. Now that he wants the votes of conservatives, he is free to be his true self, only which is it, freeing up the economy or the government controlling your behavior in the bedroom?
So many posters, so little reality.
It’s time to plan a 3rd party candidacy.
Romney has proven again and again that his wealth and the other candidates’ poverty cannot withstand the combination of his negative ad assault + the total campaign for Romney agenda of the LameStream Media to include Fox News.
I do not believe I’m being pessimistic. I think it is realism. Groundwork must be laid now.
I will not vote for Romney. He is pure liberal.
The conservative vote is split, exactly the way Romney wanted it.
These national GOP popularity polls are meaningless to me at this stage of the game. The only time these national polls will have any meaning will be when we have just Hussein and the GOP nominee. No matter who the GOP nominee is (pulling for Newt personally, but Santorum would be fine too)...
This number is surprising as when Rasmussen was introduced earlier today on foxnews they said Romney finally hit the 50% threshold and he never corrected their announcement. He did say he couldn't explain the 16% jump but that he is indeed the frontrunner once again and will probably be our nominee with his positives across the board.
