Jessie Sansone and his family are reeling after he was arrested and strip searched by police after his four-year-old daughter drew a picture of a man with a gun in her Kitchener, Ont., kindergarten class.
The 26-year-old father of four said Saturday the sketch was supposed to be him, getting the bad guys and monsters.
The school must have thought differently, as after Nevaeh drew it Wednesday, the school contacted Family and Children's Services and they called police.
Waterloo Police met Sansone at the school when he tried to pick up his kids he was told he was charged with possession of a firearm. He was then handcuffed and put him in one of the several squad cars waiting outside, he said.

I see more deliberately evil intent than idiocy in the public "servants".
Yes, those things are now praiseworthy. Yet many conservatives send their children to public school. They won't remove their children from that kind of atmosphere, not for the children's sake nor for the nation's. They consider themselves patriots, who won't even do that little for their country, though they crow "Molon Labe" every chance they get. Meanwhile the enemy comes and gets their children every weekday morning.
Thank goodness she didn’t draw a picture of her dad with a Lightsaber - they would have detained him for being a Sith.
Or, if she drew him as a Transformer (into a car) they would have arrested him for not paying his personal autobot excise tax....
Believe it or not, I can top that.
A kid in our neighborhood went to a ‘military academy’ located just north of downtown. He of course rode the public bus to and from school in uniform everyday. One day of the month they took their drill rifles home with them - on the bus, walking down the street with it slung over their shoulder properly. And then back the next day.
Of course these were old ‘03 Springfield's with the breech drilled, but you couldn't tell that from a distance. No one took the slightest bit of notice. If anybody did say anything it was something like, “oh yea, they're tough on those kids, they make them keep their rifle with them 24 hours a day for one day of the month.” He walked down our street with the rifle at least 20 or 30 times. Man we lived in a different world then.
I realize this is Canada and the standards may be somewhat different there, but ON WHAT GROUNDS????? The scrawled sketch of an elementary school child? Are you kidding? I don't know what liability laws are like in Toronto, but that city had better be prepared to settle a six-figure lawsuit.
After seeking all legal remedies, like suing them for false arrest etc., I’d follow up with a baseball bat...
And yet, just a few days ago in a discussion about emigrating to another country, there were some here mentioning Canada.
Then again, this was EASTERN Canada, where the NorthEast U.S. virus had taken root - or is it the other way round?
Indeed we did. My high school had a rifle club. We brought our rifles to school on match nights, once a month. The Principal was club adviser. I was club president my senior year. I once had a nice collection of NRA medals, but they were thrown out when my parents moved to a smaller house.

Wow, do you know anything about Canadian government?
There will be plenty of people to blame for this fiasco, starting with the school administration and the police, and going all the way to the current Provincial government, formed by the Liberals and led by Dalton McGinty.
But the idea that the Royal Family is out to suppress all opposition to Liberal political policies is beyond absurd, and way out in tin foil hat territory.
(By the way, the Tories, aka The Conservative Party of Canada, are pro-gun.)

My niece in Montreal won’t say the word “gun” because someone (she won’t say who) taught her it’s a bad word.

Agreed. But that same jack-booted thuggery is already here in the USA: No knock warrants and police raids. Do you recall that poor US Marine in Arizona that was murdered by the police on a “no knock warrant”? Those thugs busted down his door in full tactical gear, and because he was holding a legally registered firearm trying to protect himself and his family, they shot him down like a common criminal. After the smoke cleared, it was discovered that the cops busted down the wrong door and killed an innocent man. No trials for the cops involved. No investigation. Not even one single reprimand. No apology. No financial compensation for the victim’s family. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
