STERLING, Va. (AP) - A senior Pentagon official is apologizing to Washington-area Muslims for the burning of Qurans at a military base in Afghanistan.
Peter Lavoy, acting assistant secretary of defense for Asia and Pacific security affairs, says the military is investigating and that all troops are being retrained in the handling of religious materials.
Lavoy's remarks were Friday at a mosque in suburban Washington, D.C. They come after protests across Afghanistan over the burning of several Qurans at a U.S. military base. Military officials say 20 people have died in the protests, including two U.S. soldiers.

Just wondering if they pentagon ever apologized to our troops when they took their Bibles and burned them; out of consideration for the Afghan’s of course. Didn’t want to offend them by our guys having Bibles in their country.

I wonder if he was ordered to do this and who it was that ordered him to do it. Or, did he just take it upon himself to go apologize. Remember 9/11? Guess what. The muzzies won the “War on Terror”. By slavishly following and attending to every radical Muslim grievance, and treating Islam as a uniform monolith from Afghanistan to N. Virginia - they are doing more to promote the notion of the supremacy of Islam. Its more than Osama bin Laden ever hoped to achieve.
Why would they go to a mosque to say “I am so sorry, please forgive us” in the first place... you mean a statement or a phone call is not good enough (not that I am for giving an apologize - but that is a whole of issue).
Even the Pentagon has been emasculated. Un-freakin’-believable.

Which mosque? I think I can guess, but haven’t seen it identified yet in any news reports.
It happened pretty much the way OBL said it would. Only problem for him was his brother ruining his retirement.
There are rumors that an intense attack(s) will occur, not just Taliban but “civilian” Afghan nationals with no ties to terrorist groups, joining the chorus of “Kill all Westerners”. I wonder if the Pentagon/current Administration will allow the soldiers over there to defend themselves?

Answering my own question:
Lavoy apologized multiple times during a brief speech during prayer services at the ADAMS Center in Sterling, one of the largest mosques in the country.

Yes indeed. The whole zer() regime's interaction with our military, and its downfall, is interesting and hair raising - it shows how quickly, with satan-types in power, we can devolve into a USSR or North Korea. The mechanism used is gradualism, albeit in a short period. One thing leads to another, the society becomes by degrees, and accelerates, to becoming more tyrannical and repressive. And as we lose freedom, we have access to more channels of "entertainment".
