The GOP won't put up Santorum because he is a PRACTICING Catholic who's made his views on abortion way too clear for the women in this country (both parties) who feel it is their RIGHT to destroy baby when baby is either imperfect or inconvenient. They call it "reproductive rights," with signs like "Stay outta my body!" I remember that specious argument.

Santorum's views on contraception are also in line with the Catholic Church. Santorum is the ONLY sane person to vote for, but women and male libs don't WANT a president in who believes in our essential God-given right of LIFE, liberty, etc., and who believes, as per Catholic party line, that sex belongs in marriage. My gawd, what would the porn/prostitution/sex trade DO with a President Santorum?! I know. They WOULD set him up to fail.

You're probably right. I never held out much hope for him. He's too conventional in some ways. Having served in office, he's had to make compromises. Then again, he's too unconventional in other ways. He talks about “morality” for heavens sake. How quaint. We're much too sophisticated for that nowadays. I noticed both Strassel and Rabinowitz pounding on him the WSJ this morning. Of course Dorothy gave us the brilliant John McCain in ‘08. So most of the establishment and the opinion makers are forming against Santorum. I've noticed also that NO ONE carries the sound bite of Newt remarking on Obama being in favor of infanticide. Certain topics are just beyond the pale in this country, and it's why Santorum will not be allowed to rise. I thought for a long time that I could eventually vote for whoever the nominee is. After seeing Romney in action and the collusion with Paul, I seriously doubt that I could vote for Romney. People can say our liar is better than their liar, but at end, he's still a liar.

Until ABORTION (choice) is STOPPED; this country will continue it's slide to oblivion...

1 in 4 future Americans are floating in a coffin of death - a mother's womb.

We CHOOSE over 1,000,000 a year to DIE in this country.

And we blithely ask GOD to Bless us!!

What fools we are!

Don’t fall for this. The media and Obama and maybe Romney are trying to paint Santorum as someone who would try to rule women regarding contraceptives.

He’s actually said nothing definitive about his own beliefs, except to point out that 40% of births in America now are to single mothers and the percentage is much higher in minorities.

These babies are born into situations where they have little chance of having a successful life. Statistics show that babies born into two-parent families have a MUCH better chance of succeeding.

There are exceptions both ways, of course, but this is the norm.

Santorum has shown no inclination of mandating any of his personal beliefs into law, except for making abortion illegal which it should be.
