Keep an eye on young Ricky Stenhouse Jr, (#6). This will be his 1st Daytona 500 and only his 2nd start in Sprint Cup.

I like the guys that came out of a sprint car background. Looks like 7 in this years field; Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Kasey kahne, Ricky Stenhouse, Dave Blaney and JJ Yeley.

Sprint and midget is the perfect training ground because you’ve got a severely overpowered car without aerodynamic download. I’ve watched all those guys you named run midgets at Indianapolis Raceway Park (aka Lucas Oil Raceway) on the 5/8s oval and they have my total respect.
