Fact: David Cross once snorted cocaine at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
The actor confessed to the persistent rumor in an interview in the March issue of Playboy magazine, saying he pulled the stunt while sitting some 65 feet away from President Obama.
"It wasnt even that much cocaine. It was literally the size of, I dont know, a tick. It was a tiny granule of coke that I put on my wrist and said, 'Watch this. I need a witness,'" Cross recalled.
"And then I ducked under the table and did it. It wasnt like I got high," he continued. "The jolt was similar to licking an empty espresso cup. It wasnt about that. It was just about being able to say that I did it, that I did cocaine in the same room as the president."
Cross, the star of the IFC series The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, recently took heat for his rant against a producer on Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, a film he's vilified in public as "most miserable experience I ever had in my professional life."
As for the White House incident, Cross said he's not "ashamed" but regrets the embarrassment it caused his fiancee, actress Amber Tamblyn, who had invited him to the dinner.
"I was her date, her plus-one, and she got dragged through the mud because of what I did. She had nothing to do with it. And because of that shell never be invited to the White House again. Thats not cool."
Another Cross confession: he remains "curious" about new recreational drugs, and considers crack to be wack.
"I smoked it once, and it was a huge wake-up call ... When it came time to get some more, I knew very clearly that if I stayed thereand I wanted tomy life would change right then and there for the worse. I never touched crack again."
I suppose the Libs think this is amusing...
Never heard of this person till now. Well, he knows how to get attention.
Next up, rehab, a slap on the wrist, an apology/press release, and his girl friend gets to go hang out with the Marxist again as a sign of good will and acceptance by the _resident. Couple of imbeciles.
Well gee... I guess we should be reasonable about this. I mean, it’s not like he was smoking a cigarette or anything really bad, right?
/disgusted sarc
This is how all liberal bedtime stories should end.
This is true. A few more dollars of tax on a carton and I’ll have to quit thanks to social engineering.
Yes this is all about him getting attention. I heard this when it happened in 2009 because he talked about it in an interview at that time. The guy is a loser and I hope he goes away

...And on a related note, her amazing Dad: Russ Tamblyn.
Never heard of him.
This red diaper baby is even worse than Bill Maher
an awful hater of traditional American culture
how do these folks get heard?
Wow... what an incredible dance by Russ Tamblyn (whom I’ve never heard of before)! He’s Amber Tamblyn’s dad?
Ick... Amber Tamblyn is engaged to this creep? WHAT does she see in this creepy guy??
Libs are overgrown children. Emotionally, they never progressed past high school.
What a DUMBASS.
Yes.
Tamblyn also had a nice role as Dr. Jacoby in the David Lynch TV show, 'Twin Peaks' in the early '90s. He has worked with musician Neil Young for many years and he was even in the movie 'Drive' just last year. He's 78 and still working. I guess that's not too surprising seeing the kind of athlete he is.
By the way, Tamblyn's brother Larry played keyboards in a pretty popular '60s band called 'The Standells' ('Dirty water').
FRegards,

I noticed your posts on Russ Tamblyn and was trying to make the connection. Thanks for clearing that up!
Because he seems to know movies, Lancey Howard can probably tell you Russ Tamblyn was also in ‘Westside Story’ and ‘Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.’
He was great.
Wasn’t Amber in a TV series some years back?
Pleasant enough.
There’s no explaining why these attractive women choose seemingly geeks.
She was (still is?) a regular on 'House'.
Also, I think she used to act on a soap opera at one time.
Don’t watch ‘House,’ so didn’t know.
Soap opera - dunno.
There is someone I can ask soon - he’s been an entertainment manager in L.A.
Her series was quite famous and enjoyable enough, but I cannot remember title and premise!
A few years ago, I thought I passed her in an aisle of the discount store, ‘Tuesday Morning,’ here in Ventura County, north of L.A.
It could have been she - why not?!
Development arrested at the level of a ten year old.

Amber was Joan of Arcadia
I think somebody posted the answer to your question above.
Ameber was apparently in a TV show called ‘Joan of Arcadia’.
Heard of it but never saw it.
He was in a movie called Arrested Development? Now that’s funny. (see post #25)
Thanks for posting that. What an incredibly creative and athletic dance routine. Some of the stunts were breathtaking.
Yes, Joan of Arcadia!
Now, I need reminding what is was about - - - !
I remember liking it, tho.
Was it along the lines of ‘Joan Of ARC??’ Which is the first 3 letters of ‘ARCadia’ hmmmm
Maybe a tiny bit of religiosity?
Drugs in the White House. Never in my life have I heard of such a disgrace to the dignity of that national symbol....oh, wait....the Clinton’s...never mind.

OMG, It's "gandhi-smurf!"
CC
He ducked under the table to do it, because if they saw him they might have made him share!
One of the few non-queer male dancers who actually got any good parts.
Never heard of Russ Tamblyn?!?!
No wonder my joints hurt this morning. I am old!
Given that 0 has admitted to coke use in his bio book how is this daring in any way?
A couple of years ago, Amber Tamblyn starred in the short-lived series "The Unusuals":

My condolences to Russ Tamblyn, as he is about to gain this loser David Cross as a son-in-law. What the heck is wrong with his lovely daughter Amber??
Amber looks like her Dad; wonder if she inherited his dancing talent.
Russ Tamblyn also had a "small" part in Tom Thumb. <;^)
‘What the heck is wrong with his lovely daughter, Amber??’
All my years on earth, now and again I have noticed that very attractive women are paired with dubious-looking men, but rarely the other way ‘round. . .
‘__________made him share.’
Got that right!
Speaking of this current administration - - - we saw Star Parker, syndicatd columnist, speak at a dinner last night in Ventura County, CA. Got a photo with her, as she autographed her book, ‘Uncle Sam’s Plantation: How Big Government Enslaves America’s Poor And What We Can Do About It.’
Star was absolutely dynamic - an ‘iconoclast,’ says Sean Hannity,- briefly told a messy beginning to her life, and is just energizing. Over 200 of us could have listened for at least another hour. Don’t miss her if she is ever in your neighborhood.
You can bet the Blacks don’t embrace her - how could she EVer be a Black Woman REPUBLICAN???!

We LOVE Star Parker! We usually see her every year at CPAC. This year my husband and I and our two friends got lucky and got to hang around with her for awhile as she was setting up her booth in the exhibition hall the night before CPAC officially opened. She was thrilled that we were such big fans of hers and encouraged us to hang out.
On Friday at CPAC, Star participated in a great panel entitled "The RIGHT View" with S.E. Cupp, Michelle Duggar (star of TLC's "19 Kids & Counting"), Kate Obenshain and moderator Marji Ross (President, Regnery Publishing). During this conservative parody, they played outrageous clips from "The View" (usually featuring the odious Joy Behar) then discussed how insane and ridiculous those liberal 'views' were, and backed up their opinions with plenty of facts about how misguided the women of "The View" are (except for Elizabeth Hasselbeck of course).
"The RIGHT View" was a really fun and informative panel - it would make a great TV show on its own. Star was definitely the STAR of "The RIGHT View" by the way! ;-)
