"NYPD monitored Muslim students all over Northeast"
Associated Press ^ | Feb 20, 2012 | Chris Hawley

"As a result, the NYPD deemed it prudent to get a better handle on what was occurring at MSAs," Browne said in an email. He said police monitored student websites and collected publicly available information in 2006 and 2007.But documents show other surveillance efforts continued for years afterward.

"I see a violation of civil rights here," said Tanweer Haq, chaplain of the Muslim Student Association at Syracuse University. "Nobody wants to be on the list of the FBI or the NYPD or whatever. Muslim students want to have their own lives, their own privacy and enjoy the same freedoms and opportunities that everybody else has."

In recent months, the AP has revealed secret programs the NYPD built with help from the CIA to monitor Muslims at the places where they eat, shop and worship. .....

Praying five times a day is one of the core traditions of Islam.

Jawad Rasul, one of the students on the trip, said he was stunned that his name was included in the police report.

"It forces me to look around wherever I am now," Rasul said.

But another student, Ali Ahmed, whom the NYPD said appeared to be in charge of the trip, said he understood the police department's concern.

"I can't blame them for doing their job," Ahmed said. "There's lots of Muslims doing some bad things and it gives a bad name to all of us, so they have to take their due diligence."

"The City College of New York does not accept or condone any investigation of any student organization based on the political or religious content of its ideas," the college said in a written statement. "Absent specific evidence linking a member of the City College community to criminal activity, we do not condone this kind of investigation."

Good for the NYPD, or any other US policing agency that is monitoring muslim activities in this country. They are protecting us against the only known religion that has declared itself to be the west's enemy. They claim to come from well to do families/parents, so didn't Osama Bin Laden. The claim their civil rights have been violated. What happened to the civil rights of 3,000+ people at the trade center on 9/11/01???? I think their's was also violated in an extreme fashion by guess who?? Muslims?? A faction of the Muslim nation has declared war on us. The remaining members of the Muslim nation has done nothing, said nothing and is doing nothing to change that status. I haven't heard any publicly recoginzed Muslim group disavow and condemn the actions of the violent faction. In light of a war being declared against the west, of which we are the main target, I applaud any monitoring unit for its' diligence in feriting out any potential attacks. The Muslim world and its' governing document requires the annihilation of the rest of the unbelieveing world. They follow the governing document in praying five times a day and other important Muslim beliefs. Why wouldn't they follow that requirement of annihilation???? I'm sure I'm going to get answers that the Bible also says that unless your a Christian you won't go to heaven. This is quite a difference from death to the infidels. It is very tiring to constantly watch criminals crying out for their civil rights, while violating others civil rights. All's fair in love and war, and this is war.

There’s no way the NYPD’s jurisdiction extends to the entire Northeast. This is a blatent unconstitutional abuse of power by the NYPD. This is something that shouldn’t occur at the local police level at all.

Ahmed says "There's lots of Muslims doing some bad things and it gives a bad name to all of us, so they have to take their due diligence."

Infidels will totally misunderstand JIHAD every damn time! It's not about killing people. It's about killing people who resist the TRUTH as delivered by Muhammed, May Peace Be Upon Him.

However, as a Moderate Muslim and a true blue 'Merican like this here Ahmed fellow, I certainly do not believe in killing you infidels. Heck no. Not when you can be living a productive dhimmi-tax paying life for the greater good of Islam in a Sharia governed country!

Whatever, dude. You're going to wind up as my slave in Paradise FIRDOUS forever, anyway. Of course, I fully support my Islamic Brothers in their version of JIHAD. Takes all kinds, you know.

In the meantime, submit to The Divine Will of Allah, become a Muslim in world wide Dar el-Islam, join us in JIHAD and you will have not too much further trouble from us.

Drop by my Madrassa in Maine, why don't you? I promise to drive these infidel demons from you.

Sincerely,
Imam Muhammed ibn Lofi Allot
Lewiston.

The NYPD also, with the FBI, broke into the Japanese consulate in Manhattan in the mid-30s, photographing code books that gave the US a major edge during WWII.

"NYPD monitored Muslim students all over Northeast"

No they did not. They monitored MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATIONS - which have had PROVEN links to terror groups. But watch Imam Bloomberg cut their legs off anyway.

Any government agency which does not keep a very close eye on groups of sub-humans who have IN THEIR OWN F’en WORDS stated their desire to destroy us, is not doing its job.

If the NYPD was looking into the Amish then yes there is a problem but these vile pieces of scum are the enemy within and it is the governments duty to watch their every move.

I hope that you are cheered by your fellow Muslims but I know the opposite will occur. This young brave man needs to be in all of our prayers.

“...But watch Imam Bloomberg cut their legs off anyway.”

Wouldn’t be surprised a bit if/when that happens. Bloomie’s a putz that only cares about his business prospects in the ME and sacrificing lower Manhattan to the muzzies with the 9/11 mosk.

Since the cowardly Bama Admin. will not monitor these Muslim Quislings or mosques, or imans or madrasses, I am glad that the NYPD keeps its eyes on these people. I simply do not trust any foreign Muslim entering the nation as a pupil or business person or UN personnel. They are all potential spies and terrorists. All of them. And nothing over the last 10 years has dissuaded me from that view. Certainly not this AG, Janet Nap. or Bama.

I agree.
My brother who preaches all over world, was given this list by a preacher in Indonesia. A former islamic follower who became a born again Christian.
The list is really on track.

Stage 1:
Start immigrating - move into a country quietly

Stage 2:
Begin starting churches: “learning centers”
community helps: food etc.

Stage 3:
Political activism: demanding rights, denounce
derogatory comments/press etc.

Stage 4:
Get elected, pass laws favoring rights etc. move toward
political majority

Stage 5:
Political control, Sharia Law
