Scandal: A drug enforcement agent says other agencies knew in 2009 about the Justice Department's gunrunning operation and even tried to interdict the weapons flow. And, yes, it was a gun-control plot.
The notion that Fast and Furious was a localized operation run out of the Phoenix office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives of which few, particularly the arguably clueless Attorney General Eric Holder, were aware continues to be exposed as the lie it is.
"In 2009, I became aware that ATF was walking guns," Tony Coulson, who was in charge of the Drug Enforcement Agency-Tucson during Operation Fast and Furious, said in a recent interview with Michel Marizco of the website Fronteras.
"I also learned that Homeland Security Investigations, then ICE, actually interceded on more than one occasion where they seized weapons at the ports of entry when they were heading southbound contrary to ATF's plans."
The statements by the now-retired Coulson confirm the testimony of ATF agents themselves that providing guns to Mexican drug cartels was intended, not accidental. "Allowing loads of weapons that we knew to be destined for criminals — this was the plan," John Dodson, an ATF agent, testified before the House Government Oversight Committee.
"It was so mandated," ATF agent Olindo James Casa said before the committee, adding that "on several occasions I personally requested to interdict or seize firearms, but I was always ordered to stand down and not to seize the firearms."

probably 9 out of 10 people in the general population have still never heard of this. The MSM controls what they know about. That is why no real justice will never come to this.
If Bush had done it then 10 out of 10 people would know about it.
My guess is that the democrats are hoping that they will re take congress and this investigation will go bye bye in a blink of the eye. Not that the republicans will actually ever doing anything meaningful about it anyways.

Let’s see how long Issa is willing to wait for an answer and what the answer is.
If Holder stonewalls this for more than a couple of days, Issa needs to launch the contempt charges. If Holder comes back shortly and says I’ll get back to you when I can, then Issa’s answer should be the same hold Holder in contempt of Congress immediately.
Fast & Furious arms criminals and kills innocent people, Solyndra and dozens of other corrupt loans to cronies, and now you have Media Matters coordinating with Obama’s “Enemies List”.
Of course, you won’t hear anything from the media about the most corrupt administration in decades.
This is beginning to look to me like a badly written soap opera where you can’t tell the good guys from the bad guys because they all have their own agenda. It just keeps going and going. The bad guys switch places or move to different locations and wham, you never see them again...but it never ends. No one is ever brought to justice. No one is held accountable. No one is guilty because no one is innocent. There are no heroes here.
Any time. Both parties are deeply guilty in my not so humble opinion.
