Repeat, this was a background check for someone who’d have access to classified info, not a criminal investigation.
Crap people use your heads. Barry releasing this info is the real problem.
He was a salesman? Did his products work or is that beyond the scope of their investigation?

As someone who has undergone such an investigation, and held a security clearance in the past, I am well aware of what goes into such files. I am likewise well-aware that the content of such files are rarely made public knowledge, and like you I find *that* troublesome in the extreme...

Mission accomplished. Admirably!
Microsoft is always a day late and a dollar short.
It’s why Apple is kicking their butt!
People are sick of their computers needing one update after the next.
Plus they cannot stand have to check 100 different boxes just to do anything simple.
Apple is very user friendly unlike day late dollar short Microsoft.
The only real story here is why is the FBI releasing this information?
Another slap at capitalism, PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!!
This is coming from the Washington Post that distort reality in order to achieve their goals everyday!
This is a prime example of the pot calling the kettle black.

The FBI released the documents after a Freedom of Information Act request was filed by Bloomberg New and other organisations. FBI files, including the deceased social security number, can be made public after a person’s death, Bloomberg reports.
You are correct - to get tickets, you need a background check.
If I am not mistaken it is a felony (10 year sentence) to release said results, or to treat them in a fashion that they *might* get released beyond those people who are authorized to view or handle them.
I *should* be fairly easy to find the felon in this case.
“Windows 8 is coming out soon. Get ready.... “
I don’t have to get ready for MS or Apple.. I left the reservation 3 years ago when I discovered Linux.
Well said.
I've been a Linux user for over a decade, and used it as my primary workstation OS for about 4 years.
Linux figures in 50% of the scores of servers I maintain for my employer (I'm a System Admin). About 40% are NetBSD Unix, and the rest are Windows 2008 or 2003. Oh, and one Mac OSX Server.
I personally run a Mac at home because it's very solid and stable, and with VMware Fusion I run Linux, Unix, and Windows as needed as VMs on the Mac platform. If I could only have one OS, I'd want a good Unix, so I'd choose OS-X because it's really BSD Unix.
But my second choice would be Linux. I'm very happy for you. :)
