GOP targets child tax break for illegal aliens

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republicans are looking to deny child tax credits to illegal immigrants — refund checks averaging $1,800 a family — in an effort that has roused anger among Hispanics and some Democratic lawmakers.

The proposal, which would require people who claim the federal credit to have Social Security numbers to prove they're legal workers, is being offered as a way to help pay for extending the Social Security tax cut for most American wage-earners. It would trim federal spending by about $10 billion over a decade.

....

Says Leticia Miranda, senior policy adviser of the National Council of La Raza: "People who are making close to the minimum wage and are raising children in this country — and we're asking them to pay for the payroll tax cut?" She says, "It's outrageous and it's crazy."

On the other side, Republicans and some Democrats say what's crazy is even having a debate over whether the government should be cutting checks to people who have sneaked into the country illegally. It's hard to imagine there isn't a healthy majority, even in the Democratic-controlled Senate, to stop the practice — if it's actually brought to a vote.

I can't imagine that for decades, we have been issueing tax refunds to people without a Social Security number ... I'm simply dumbfounded ...

You must not have a spanish surname; nor have you probably had H&R, Murphy’s Fly-by-Night Tax Service or any of the other reputable tax filing assistance organizations whose primary business are illegals and EITCer’s getting their refund anticipation loans....

Everyone knows it’s a good thing to have valid Social Security numbers; we’re just ensuring that illegals have the opportunity to legally acquire one. You want to play in our yard, we’ll show you the rules.

Says Leticia Miranda, senior policy adviser of the National Council of La Raza: “People who are making close to the minimum wage and are raising children in this country .. Isn’t this the same problem they have in Mexico, too many kids, not enough money to be a provider ? When these programs dry up, the illegals will have the same problems they have in Mexico.La Raza is who boasted about all the taxes illegals pay, making close to the minimum wage , claiming dependents, equals very little tax taken out.Illegals can claim family members as dependents even if they live in Mexico. I read this awhile some where.

Friend of mine worked at a MAACO (body shop) in Chelsea MA. He was the Gringo. The others used to tell him how when they knew the social worker was coming over. They would have each others kids there for the visit so the social worker would see eight kids at every house hold. This was 1980 and they had the system figured out then.

How does anyone fill their taxes without a SS much less get a refund?

The government, in their desire to get their grub-grabby hands on more money, started handing out Tax ID numbers, which may be used instead of SSNs when filing. Unfortunately, for a number of rebates and deductions, they don’t differentiate between whether the filer has filed with an SSN or a tax id and just issue the refund, so instead of getting more money, they ended up with a net loss in the billions. Law of unintended consequences and general stupidity of politicians.

Throw in stolen numbers and what do we have. Already this year there have been thieves submitting 1040s to get refunds before the real owner of the number can file theirs.

US GETTING BILKED BIGTIME

Illegal Manuel Mejia Ordonez ordered to repay $3M in Calif employment fraud
San Francisco Chronicle | June 26, 2010
FR Posted June 26, 2010 by artichokegrower

A former Marysville resident has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay back $3 million in fraudulently obtained unemployment compensation.

US Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner said 31-year-old Manuel Mejia Ordonez was sentenced to eight years and one month in prison for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and identity theft. (Excerpt) Read more at sfgate.com ...

QUESTION How does a citizen of Mexico make $3 million in unemployment claims? A. By establishing multiple identities. The fraudster, Manuel Mejia Ordonez, got eight years for conspiracy to commit mail fraud........and identity theft.

=============================================

A common practice among "impoverished" illegals is to buy several forged identities for several thousand dollars each---- to vote and to ride the US gravy train under several names.

Jose Madrigal---the Washington state rapist---had some 30 identities.

====================================================

THE "JUST HERE FOR A BETTER LIFE" SCAM "Impoverished" illegals buy multiple fake identities for several thousand dollars each. Jose Madrigal---the Washington State rapist---had some 30 identities.

A family of four can have an income of $30,000 a year and still qualify for food stamps----with just one identity. A single mother, with two children who has a full time job that pays $7.25 an hour has an effective income of $48,000 a year when you add all the benefits she and her children receive from the government: food stamps, Medicaid coverage, subsidized child care, school lunch program, “Temporary” Assistance to Needy Families, subsidized housing, Earned Income Tax Credit, etc......with just one identity.

REFERENCE The Federal ID that Pays Illegal Aliens Billions -----November 28, 2011

......a recent analysis entitled, “Treasury Department Says Illegal Aliens Collection Billions in Tax Credits,” revealed that according to the Department of Treasury’s Inspector General, more than $4.2 billion in additional child credits were paid out in 2010 to illegal immigrants. In 2005, the pay outs totaled $924 million. This program allows low income earners to claim a $1,000 per child credit.

EITC claims---can run up to over $3000 per claim. $20 billion is estimated to have been paid out to these cunning "impoverished" illegals. Most of them are collecting over and over again-----using multiple identities-----falsifying apps---claiming children they do not have and/or falsely stating kids are back in their homelands.

The proposal would require people who claim the federal credit to have Social Security numbers to prove they're legal workers....

The border violators wont let a silly law stop them:

(A) They'll use SS nos they got for all their anchor babies.

(B) They buy SS nos from illegals who went back to their homelands.

(C) The "impoverished" illegals.....just here for a better life....pay several thousand dollars for stolen SS nos and forged, fake documents.

... Leticia Miranda, senior policy adviser of the National Council of La Raza....
I read something interesting Wednesday which I found totally by accident. It was due to the uproar over the new Chicago Vehicle Sticker design, made by a 'student' -- It Had Gang Hand Signs In It! And the story showed a slide show on 50 of Chicago's Gangs (good going Daley & Rahm!) colors, affiliation (Folk or People) and the hand sign, etc.

And one of the Gangs is ..... ta-da ... La Raza!!

Oh, the new design the kid made is now scrapped and they're making a new design for the stickers. How racist of them. /s

That IS interesting----thanks. And here's a tidbit about the Zetas gangs who are occupying Texas, setting up their drug distribution networks.

======================================

REFERENCE Zeta hit man details killings on both sides of border
mySA.com | January 24, 2012 | Jason Buch
FR Posted by SwinneySwitch

LAREDO, TEXAS — A former hit man for the Zetas cartel calmly related to jurors his role in killings on both sides of the border, testifying Monday in the drug conspiracy trial of a man prosecutors say was also a hired killer.

From the witness stand in U.S. District Judge Micaela Alvarez's courtroom here, Rosalio Reta, a US citizen, pointed to Gerardo Castillo Chavez, 25, and identified him as a fellow Zeta.

Pressing his fingertips together and speaking in a slow, soft voice, Reta, 22, a US citizen, told jurors that he had been in a team of hit men headed by Gabriel Cardona, an admitted Zeta who has pleaded guilty to five murders that occurred here in 2005 and 2006.

Reta, a US citizen, said he was the triggerman in the second murder, killing Moises Garcia, a member of the Mexican Mafia prison gang, in December 2005. “We just waited for him to come out and as soon as he came out, we blocked the way and I got down and killed him,” Reta, a US citizen, said.

Reta, a U.S. citizen, received national media attention after the teenager was deported from Mexico in 2006 at age 17. He's known for his distinctive facial tattoos and boasts that he became a killer when he was 13 years old.

This is very un-pc of me but if I saw a guy with face tats like that my gut reaction would be to shoot him right there on the spot.

Like a rabid mad-dog that's foaming at the mouth you know trouble is coming your way.

“...if it’s actually brought to a vote.”

Key phrase here...

Considering the feckless history of the elected since 2010...

I seriously doubt this was going to get any traction after this story broke...

Did you know that 56 states in our country have chosen a way to calculate food stamp eligibility that favors families with illegal aliens over families made up entirely of American citizens? Families with one or more illegal alien members only have a part of their incomes counted to determine whether they qualify for food stamps, and how much they get. Families who are all American citizens have 100 percent of their incomes counted. Families with illegal aliens can earn up to $900 more a month than American families can earn and still qualify for food stamps. American citizens are discriminated again by this policy. The only states that that don’t do this, that treat all of the families equally, are Utah, Arizona, Nebraska and Kansas. This discrimination is perfectly legal and is allowed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture under a stealth regulation that was posted on the Federal Register in 2001. States can make the choice of which of two options to use when calculating food stamp benefits. What does your state do? Where is the “concern” for American citizen families? Why are they being short-changed and why are illegals getting more generous treatment from state governments?
