The Iraq war may be over, but I was on a plane last week, Tuesday, and some U.S. Army soldiers* on the same plane were on a short leave from Iraq... And going back in a few days. Does anyone know how many of our military are still there?

*They were wearing what I believe are their OCP(?) combat uniforms — I think that’s what you call the desert camo fatigues? It’s the same camo clothing you often see on our Army guys when flying on commercial airliners.

To her credit, the head flight attendant personally thanked each one of our guys, and then announced the group at the end of the flight (mentioning that they were going back to Iraq soon) and asked us to thank them, which we did with a 757 full of applause.
