I wonder if George W. Bush will get an invitation. It would be appropriate, and at any rate he’d probably make the dinner more fun for the military men there. They and President Bush always seemed to get along well, back in the day.

Thx kristinn.
"Jodie Evans helped rally the Los Angeles progressive community to Obama’s side …along with… the Dreamworks trio of Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen.
Jodie Evans went on to be appointed a fund raiser for Obama."
Sick bunch!

"In September 2008… Jodie Evans met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in New York City."
"In November, weeks after Obama won the presidential election, Jodie Evans and Code Pink traveled to Iran at the personal invitation of Ahmadinejad."
Pukebucket ßîT¢H!
"KTVU has had video of Jodie Evans and Obama together at the fundraiser."

Any particularly good reason for that "tradition" to continue?

Just the Constitution of the United States. I realize that many on the left, and some here on FR don't think it matters anymore, but I swore an oath to uphold and defend that piece of parchment, and the words on it.

I only wonder whether this event will be wheel-chair and gurney accessible to truly honor our troops, or whether this will be another Zer0, zero, photo-op?

Why don't the soldiers just order carry out from oboma’s kitchen, and find other things to do that day.

And maybe they can also send oboma a group picture with their middle finger in a one finger “salute” as they wave bye-bye to the enemy of the people.

It’s amazing to me that the GOP for the first time perhaps since Dewey in 1948 is going to nominate someone who will be seen as the weaker candidate on natl security and foreign policy. who will give the dems the natl security edge.

If you could count on one thing it was that the GOP was the tougher party on natl security.

Romney will be the 1st GOP nominee who hasn’t served since Wilkie I believe. None of his kids or family memebers served and a case can be made that they’ve actively avoided service.

The dems are going to run the guy who got Bin Laden, took care of Khadaffi and Assad(he’ll be gone by the election you watch), and ended 2 wars. We’re going to run a guy with no military exp and no for policy exp and possibly the guy who exudes the least toughness of any candidate since Dukakis.

Great.

Jodie Evans, IIRC, is the person referred to. She is a founder of CodePink, which gave money to the insurgency. It is common knowledge.

Two categories of guests will show:

1. The gay
2. The careerist flag officers

Don’t forget that Major Hassam, the one who shot up Fort Hood, was on Obama’s Presidential Transition Team prior to him going postal. He was promoted soon after, I believe.

As such, no Muslims.

1. They don’t mix well with gays.
2. He’s got the muslim vote, but the gays, well, are both rich and squishy, as it were. Least littlest thing sets them off and the box of treasure closes with a slam.

What were the terms of surrender?

Where was the signing done?

Barry is a lying a%%hole. The war against the Iraqi government ENDED with the fall of Saddam Hussein.

This continued fighting was a terrorist action (not just Iraqi nationals) that followed on the heels of the Iraq War. It’d be like saying the Civil War in the US lasted into the 1960s because of the KKK insurgency that rose up after the war and remained a terrorist force for decades.

.

On the Whipple.org GenWeb site

(and with FDR)

Alden
Cooke
Pratt
Romney

GW Bush is descended from Francis Cooke and his son John Cooke_1620_Plymouth Colony

For security reasons the Bush, Roosevelt and other families has not added their all of their names to the Whipple.org GenWebSite

Also through his mother Barbara - a Spencer ancestor

(both sides of the Brit Prince’s ancestors - Cooke and Spencer)

as is Teddy Roosevelt (see Eleanor Roosevelt GenWeb page)

http://genweb.whipple.org/d0017/I67196.html?John_Alden-1620-Plymouth Colony

http://genweb.whipple.org/d0113/I42454.html?Francis_Cooke_1620-Plymouth Colony

http://genweb.whipple.org/d0370/I115233.html?Romney_Utah

http://genweb.whipple.org/d0349/I45575.html?Pratt_1866-Kansas

There were “native born” ancestors on shore that also met the ship in 1620....

392 long years ago -

25% of Americans have Mayflower ancestry

There are a number of US Presidents related to families and persons on the Whipple.org GenWebSite

General William Whipple:

http://genweb.whipple.org/d0533/I3451.html?General_William_Whipple-signed_the_Declaration_of_Independence_in_New_Hampshire-in_1776

Recorded history of the Whipple family goes back to 1033

“Colt” goes back to 1550 in England

.

Yup -

Humphey Bogart and “Norma Jean” (and many others) are also Mayflower descendants too.....

.
