Okay, comments and predictions here.
(Excerpt) Read more at espn.go.com ...
I am from SoCal and do not support them.
“Black Sunday” just concluded on EPIX. I had never seen that movie before, it was pretty good.
+1
tho i'd settle for 0-0 with about 10 turnovers per side
Cowboys by 3 ......... Shows you how much I have been paying attention this year. LOL
Barny Fwank just might enjoy the equine act
I hope they BOTH lose ;)
I will be walking the dog for halftime entertainment. My plan B if the dog gets walked before the game is to sit on the front porch and watch the chrome rust on the Dodge Caliper(Special OBAMA Edition) my neighbor just bought.
I call this, the northeastern SB!
Look for the score to be Patriots 24, Giants 16.
Take confort, the SB is taking place in the city of the Indy 500.
Patriots by 8.
Remember that, despite what has been said, the Patriots have a “bee in their helmets” and have not forgotten, at least those players who are still with the Patriots, what happened 4 years ago.
Plus the AFC won last week in the Pro Bowl. Look for an AFC resurgence in the coming season starting tonight.
Giants 23, Patriots 17

This is a good year.
“Our national pastime is shooting, gentlemen, and always will be.” Cole Younger (Cliff Robertson) “The Great Northfield Minnisota Raid”
that being said...
....Go Giants!
It’s been an awesome week here in Indy.
The weather has been great, and the planning and execution of the pre-game day activities has gone well.
And the best news is that Obama isn’t coming, LOL.
I hate the Pats and BeliCHEAT, but I hate Mr. Silver-Spoon-In-His-Mouth Manning and the Giants even more. I hope Manning gets the whipping of his spoiled life.
They have a twelfth man not on the field. There can be no other explanation for the missed field goal and Sterling Moore's foiling the game winning touchdown against The Ravens.
Regardless of who wins, it's gonna be great to see all those fans of the "Baltimore Colts" writhe in agony as they are in a no-win situation. Either their bitter enemies, The Pats, win on their home turf, or Elisha Manning proves he's better than their loser commercial boy Peyton.
I’m still a half-hearted Giants fan, and I think the NFL ought to really sit down and think hard about what it’s all about after this season, especially if the Giants win tonight. There’s no way in hell a team with 7 losses should be playing in a Super Bowl. What’s even more ridiculous is that the Giants finished the regular season with a negative (394-400) point differential. This is a championship contender?! LOL.

Peyton is just as spoiled as his brother. Can’t stomach either of them.
i’m a Jet fan but root for the Giants if my team is out and Eli is my neighbor.
He’s a good guy so easy to back. We’ll be having a good time today.
Giants 34 Pats 20
I’m not a Colts fan, though I live in Indianapolis.
All I’ve ever seen is Manning being extremely generous in this town.
He’s very low key, and has endowed a children’s hospital.
Always at the ready to help out with charity events.
I hear dat...
We'll all be bombarded with Elisha Manning commercials, if he wins.
Brady's commercial made us all go 'ugh', we don't need any more of those from him.
Giants aren’t that good. They just got hot at the right time.
For a union shop, the NFL has a lot of turnover.
Only 23 players of 106 are carryover from the NE/NY matchup four years ago.
NE wins.
Heres my analysis:
Based on regular season YDG statistics.
NE 2 Pass 29 Pass NYG
NE 20 Rush 19 Rush NYG
NYG 5 Pass 31 Pass NE
NYG 32 Rush 17 Rush NE
Total YDG superiority NE by 15
Game Plan: NE - Pass MUCH more - use run to keep defense honest. NYG - Pass MUCH more
Game character: Top passing against lowest tier pass defenses. Should be high score because not much to stop top passing. Both QB's are dangerous. The difference may be the rush game: Rush game: NYG has NFL's worst rush. NE superior by 15. Rush game: NE is #20 rush offense. NYG is #19 rush defense. Even. Key to game: May be NE's ability to run against NYG.
I am very happy to hear the great news. I’m glad the weather is good also.
“I hope Manning gets the whipping of his spoiled life.”
Eli Manning is not spoiled and his father noted he never complained about anything growing up.
Archie Manning raised two very normal but excellent boys who made it to the NFL.
Stop hating.
750 tix left on Stubhub.
Looks like transaction prices are trending back up, I think the cheapest seats have pretty much been sold.
Neither team is very good. In fact, what’s really astonishing in the NFL is that we haven’t seen a complete team in many years. Every championship team has had tons of holes and flaws. Maybe the Broncos of the late 1990s were the last of the really good all-around teams.
“Only 23 players of 106 are carryover from the NE/NY matchup four years ago.”
Those are normal figures. The average running back only lasts four years on average in the NFL.
Jobs come at a premium and are demanding and difficult to keep.
Look, I am a life-long Giant fan and so I may be suspected of being biased but I don't understand your "Mr. Silver-Spoon-In-His-Mouth" comment.
Every thing that Eli Manning has attained has been earned on the field. From being a #1 Draft Pick in the Draft to his Super Bowl MVP, all has been earned on the field.
Look for Eli and the G-Men to get a “do you remember me moment” from Tom tonight!
It’s all about peaking at the right time. The Giants had a rough patch in late November, but they got it back under control in the last few weeks and have played great football in the playoffs. They’re proof that things are working great in the NFL today. It’s an any given Sunday league where you there’s no way to know at the beginning of the season what’s going to happen in the end. Even with a dynasty like the Pats this season saw their first playoff win since the last time they faced the Giants in the SB, nobody was really thinking they were going to get it together. Having an unpredictable season makes it a more exciting season, with higher levels of fan engagement, and that means more spending. Which is, in the end, what it’s all about, entertainment for money.
One of my buddies has a kid who’s been in the NFL for 6 years. I think he’s been with 6 teams, on and off the practice squad, etc. For the marginal player it’s a challenging life.

That’s the direct result of a system with a salary cap and non-guaranteed contracts. The wholesale player turnover among NFL teams is destroying the game, in my opinion.
Jacaobs and Bradshaw open up field for Manning and Cruz. Giants 31-24.
I swear some Freepers would be better off with the Occupy crowd, wouldn't they?
If that’s what it’s all about, then why not let the Washington Redskins into the playoffs — or anyone else, for that mater? The Redskins were 2-0 against the Giants this year. Maybe they could have been peaking right now, too!
I don’t know about destroying the game.
By my reading, the tv ratings and price of commercials is at an all time high.
Stasi...? Spare me. You’re rooting for a team that comes from the liberal cesspool of New York and plays in the liberal cesspool of New Jersey.
In reality, I go to 2-3 Raiders games per year. Raiders fans are more akin to a biker gang than they are to state police....
No matter what happens, Brady gets to bang Giselle later and we don’t. He wins.
Pats 24 giants 20.
Even the commercials I've seen are lame.
But any excuse for a party, and my chicken wings are Super.
What NFL city, maybe outside of Green Bay, isn’t a liberal cesspool?
The Super Bowl hasn't been about football in years.
As someone with a handle like "nascarnation" you should be sensitive to this sort of thing. That sport was at an all-time high a few years ago when it traded in its traditions and long-time fans for big-city TV revenues, and it's been declining ever since.
True about NASCAR. When they started playing rap and crap I knew it was gonna slide down.
The Redskins didn’t win their division, and couldn’t sneak into a wild card. That’s why they didn’t get in.
There’s nothing new about this. All sports have the occasional team that “sneaks” into the playoffs with a questionable record that then puts together a run. It happens more often in sports where the playoffs are single elimination because randomness has a heightened impact. Happens periodically in Now-it-happens-in-April-March Madness. It’s the Cinderella story, it’s why there’s the phrase “that’s why they play the game”. Yeah you can make all kinds of arguments about why the Giants shouldn’t be in Indy right now, but the fact is they needed to win 5 games to get here, and they did, and the teams that didn’t win the necessary games are not.
This isn’t the BCS, nobody is trying to declare today’s eventual winner the best, a champion will be declared. You become a champion by winning the right games, you can go ahead and lose all the rest (which I think this year’s Giants might have) but if you win the right ones you get the to the title, then you win that to become champion. The Giants won all the right games. Period.
We have hot wings, 7 layer dip and chips, tzatziki sauce and veggies, prosciutto and basil wrapped mozzarella, and chilled shrimp and cocktail sauce over here. What have you got??
