VIDEO - Reagan's National Security Advisor Endorses Newt Gingrich
At a veterans townhall meeting in Wolfeboro, NH, Bud McFarlane, National Security Advisor to President Ronald Reagan, explains why Newt has the right experience and knowledge to be the Commander in Chief.
"He also brings to the presidency a knowledge of how to move the U.S. Congress, how to have the courage to go against conventional wisdom, how to balance a budget, and at home and abroad show the kind of leadership that President Reagan did only 25 years ago.
Nobody else in this race has those qualities of knowledge and experience. I'm here because I believe in Newt Gingrich. He can do this. He's the only one who can do this." -- Bud McFarlane

.. Ping!
Interesting how many of the former Reagan team are behind Newt Gingrich. GO NEWT GO!
Bye Bye, Zero.
McFarlane isw a real serious, no nonsense guy.
When Bud speaks, one ought to listen. I hope any Romney fans who might be lurking out there will stop for a minute and think about what this means; namely, Newt is miles closer to Reagan than Romney ever will be. If you loved Ronald Reagan, you cannot possibly favor Romney over Newt. Please, for the love of God, McFarlane knows what he’s talking about and would not lead conservatives astray.
AWESOME!
Brings back good memories!
another one for the Gipper!
Not what I'd call a basis for recommendation. Further, I remember well an interview with Bud McFarlane detailing what a terrific investment developing Pakistan would be. How'd that turn out?
He is a co-founder (with Dr. Henry Kissinger) and Vice Chair of the America-China Society,
Like I said.
O.O WOW. That’s kinda heavyweight!
It’s NOT Bud’s fault that subsequent administrations effed that up. Frankly he was RIGHT. But the US for too long has played the money man with out offering real game changing support.
That’s the nature of geopolitics at times, but it doesn’t mean I like it.
McFarland is a heavyweight endorsement.
Disagree completely. Pakistan is a black hole that, because it is Islamic, will never be a reliable partner, much less bring a return on investment. I'd rather buck up India and make Pakistan somebody else's problem.
Thats the nature of geopolitics at times, but it doesnt mean I like it.
The "nature of geopolitics" has been fraught with the tyranny of the urgent, and way lacking in long term historical and cultural perspective.
To what specifically do you refer?

“To what specifically do you refer?”
I would like an answer to that, too.
Go Newt! Great endorsement.
Wow! That was one excellent endorsement!
HEY FOX PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AFTER YOUR DISGUSTING BIAS AGAINST NEWT.
I’;ve had FOX on for about 15 mins and they have hit Newt 3 times and saying he was no fan of the gipper one headline said.
I watched that as well. Disgusting. Off to write ANOTHER email to FOX.
I just sent an e-mail off saying how their bias has become pathetic and their arrogance has become just as bad as NBC. MSNBC.
Did you see the banner which stated Newt is no fan of the Gipper?
Then they went on and had their talking heads on saying media bias but of course they ignore their own bias and then they only think bias against Romney should be reported .
I really am disgusted and could you let me know if you receive a reply and who did you send the mail off to?
I saw that too. That was a hit piece and they do it relentlessly. Newt may have been referred to once in Reagan’s book, but Romney was not mentioned ONCE!! Fox & friends could have highlighted that small snipet but hey they got the memo and they know who butters their bread. Fair and balanced my ARSE!!
You think you’ll see this on Drudge? LOL
you said exactly the same as me.
I shouted as the TV and said how about mentioning Romney is not even mentioned but of course they won’t t.
FOX has been disgustingly biased against Newt, how Romney and the establishment must be so proud of FOX.
I’ve tried for the last 10 minutes, but their “contact” page won’t load. Hope it’s busy with folks like us giving them HELL.
I have NEVER received a reply from FOX.
btw, on the F&F page there is a poll for Newt.

I got one reply and they said something like , don’t like it tough.
That was over Shep smiths bias and being a drama queen.
Ever since I don;t watch nor do I watch most of FOX now.
Infact I have friends on while I get ready and then Hemmer is alright but other than that , no way.
Megyn Kelly has lost me since she attacked the shrink and supported her cross dressing pals and homosexuals and now has a Soros media matters homosexual activist on her show.
Can’t stand the other shows now but maybe it is just me.
Thank you for the link

Before long we were looking the other way while they built nuclear reactors with Soviet help. We now have Pakistan with nukes that has facilitated proliferation to Iran. So it doesn't seem to me that "helping" their economy bought us anything.
Obviously Ronnie was getting very good National Security advice, and now the guy has 25 years more wisdom welcome to the White House Bud!
Thanks for the reply.
One other item regarding Newt. There is a lot of flack coming from Willard’s camp with a lot of “bad” stuff about Newt v. Reagan.
Michael Reagan was on Fox this afternoon, and he said that IN SPITE OF some mistaken ideas and statements that turned out to be wrong, he STILL sticks with Newt.........and with the fact that NANCY REAGAN publicly passed “Ronnie’s” mantle to Newt and to the Republican Congress.
Thank you so much for your reply.
Unfortunately, I will have to agree with your assessment.
Sometimes, we ARE stupid.
