I am Roman Catholic, and I can't understand how the Democrats get support from Protestants, either. I mean, as we have been repeatedly assured, the Protestant religions also believe "Thou shalt not Murder", but that doesn't stop them for voting Democrat. For that matter, Jews seem to have the same disconnect.

It isn't a question of which religion is involved, be it Protestant or Catholic or Jewish, but one of whether or not people are placing God first in their lives, over all the gimmies, promises of mammon, and dangling trinkets the Democrats have been using over the years to buy votes. Sadly, it seems the GOP is up to the same stunts of late, pandering to vocal, if not numerous special interests.

Vote your conscience in the end. This life pales in duration to eternity.
