People are not just going to vote against Obama because you think the economy is bad.

True. OTOH, they are going to vote against him because they think the economy is bad.

You’re right. He’s turned into a really unlikeable fella, and annoying to listen to. Fox News is trying real hard to turn off their viewers.

Todd Palin’s endorsement of Newt Gingrich, is likely the closest Palin endorsement we will get.

That is how she described Todd's reasons for endorsing newt, as though they were her own. That said, she was very specific that she was not ready to endorse anyone yet (that was at 9:10 this evening).

The First Debate

Mr. Obama, before I debate you as President Obama, I and the American people require that you produce the following list of bonafides about your life that you've kept secret from us. You see, we really have no absolute proof about your status as a Natural Born Citizen, cannot verify your passport records and continue to wonder why you have multiple Social Security numbers, the most recent of which, and the one on your Tax Return, is from Connecticut, a state you've never lived in. So, until We the People see these documents, these debates are postponed.

Please produce the original copy of the following:

1. The Original Birth Certificate - Yes, the absolute original, examined and certified by three independent forensic experts.

2. Please produce your Columbia University transcripts.

3. Please, your original Columbia thesis paper.

4. Please produce your Campaign donor analysis requested by 7 major watchdog groups

5. Please produce your Harvard University transcripts.

6. Please produce your Illinois State Senate records including your voting record.

7. Please produce your Illinois State Senate schedule.

8. Please produce your Law practice client list and billing records/summary.

9. Please produce the locations and names of all half-siblings and stepmother.

10. Your complete Medical Records (we've only seen the one page summary released so far). Have you had drug tests done? Are you still using coke? Please, your liver function tests to clarify alcohol abuse. Have you had an AIDS test?

11. Please produce your Occidental College Transcripts. Also, any records of student aid received and under what names(s) and nationality.

12. Please show us your Parent’s original Marriage Certificate.

13. Please produce your record of Baptism.

14. Please produce your Selective Service registration records (Did you actually Register for Selective Service?) Also, why does your SS not pass e-verify?

15. Please provide us with schedules for all trips outside of the United States before 2007.

16. Please produce all Passport records for all passports, US and otherwise - before the scrubbing.

17. Can you show us a list of your scholarly articles?

18. Your SAT and LSAT test scores please. Did you even take the SAT and LSAT?

19. What's with no access to your grandmother in Kenya?

20. Please list of all campaign workers that currently are lobbyists.

21. Please produce Punahou grade school records.

22. Why are Noelani Kindergarten records are oddly missing from the the State of Hawaii Department of Education?

23. Please produce page 11 of Stanley Ann Dunham's divorce decree.

24. Why did you, President Barack Obama, resign from the Illinois bar and where are all of the relevant documents?

25. Why did Michelle Obama resign from the Illinois bar after only about four years of practice and where are all of the relevant documents?

I will see you along with these original records (again, no copies) at the next scheduled debate. This debate is over. Thank you and Good Night.

I got to like Perry more and more. I’d much rather see him as the last non-Newt, non-Romney than Santorum, but it is what it is.

His graciousness in bowing out showed us all what a class act he truly is.

And I love his and Newt’s plan to work together on the 10th amendment issues.

[I think it helps that Santorum came in last. The sooner he drops out, the sooner the conservatives can coalesce behind Gingrich.]

Rick will be getting enormous pressure and money from GOP E to stay in the race, to make sure his supporters don’t switch to Newt.

I’m glad someone else noticed. It was almost unwatchable, which may have been the design.

Just imagine how poorly Paul would have shown if not for the Democrats who infiltrated the primary to vote for him. And he claimed in his speech he did well in this primary because he got more votes than 4 years ago even though he came in last...but there were far fewer active candidates contesting the state this time around to split up the votes.

I think she is not endorsing now out of a pretty smart strategy. She wants to support the nominee no matter which one it is and I think that she is waiting for tactical reasons.

She will bring in a ton of relevance with her endorsement.

The truth is, Gingrich hasn’t got a shot.

* * * *

A few months ago, I would have totally agreed with you. I saw Newt as a has-been and an angry old man (sorta like Ron Paul). I took the defection of his support team as proof that I was right.

However, we have all watched Newt undergo a renaissance in the last few months, and especially in the last couple of weeks. If Newt can continue in this vein, he has a real shot. If he can raise the money to get his message out, he has a shot. If he will come off his high horse a little and do sympathetic interviews talking about how he is now a good Catholic and regrets his past mistakes, he has a shot. If he can GET his message out to the American public as a whole and continue to make it both palatable and inspiring, as he has lately - I really think Newt has a real shot! He converted me. I think he can convert others as well.

Go Newt!!!! :o)

I’m voting for Newt all the way. He is inspiring us right now. He is running to the right and throwing us the red meat we’ve been after. But I have no illusions about him. He is a broken field runner who if elected president will not be good on illegal immigration and will try to draw grand (and grandiose) compromises with the Democrats. In his mind he is a brilliant historical figure so of course he is going to do this or at least try to. Newt is not the principled Conservative that Ronald Reagan was even though he talks that way right now to win primaries.

Freepers and other good conservatives will have to reign Newt in if he becomes President. Much depends on what kind of House and Senate we have with how many Democrats. Will Harry Reid be reduced to Minority Leader? I am ready to be disappointed. He will be a backstabber. 1000x better than Obama but still someone we will have to deal with. He talks big boy conservative now but I see a big moderate emerging if elected.

We need a solid Republican House and Senate. Then Newt can make Freeper dreams come true such as nullifying Obama-Care and abolishing the EPA and the Department of Education. Such as reigning in the eco-anarchists in so many Federal agencies who tyrannize the private sector
