Wisconsin lost about 3,900 private-sector jobs in December the sixth straight month state employment has declined.
But don't worry, the recalls can help fix all that.
I don't mean by getting rid of Gov. Scott Walker who has famously promised to create 250,000 private sector jobs by 2015 but who after a year in office can only point to about 13,500.
Rather, last year's nine state senate recall elections and this year's likely recall elections for governor, lieutenant governor and four state senators represent Wisconsin's very own jobs package.
Take the state Government Accountability Board's hiring of 50 people to review recall petitions.
Or all those recall yard signs and other political literature, the food delivered to campaign offices, the political ads that will flood the airwaves as we get closer to the elections.
Somebody's got to make all that stuff and get paid for it, and all those somebodies go out and buy stuff that somebody else has to make and get paid for, and so on and so forth.

Wisconsin Cynical Economic Stimulus Ping
If you want on, or off, this Wisconsin Interest ping just FReep mail me.
Just remember that this cynical essay emanates from Madison, even though it is accurate to some extent.
Sigh. The economic illiteracy exhibited by this article should be stunning, but I’m getting used to seeing it. Sadly...
50 TEMPORARY workers!!!
Yahoo!!!
This is no different than ABC & Diane Sawyer trying to massage American Christmas purchases & ‘create’ 200,000 new jobs for over 2 months——in an atmosphere where NEW unemployment claims were averaging 400,000 a WEEK were happening. 4 weeks X 400,000 a week == 1,600,000 NEWly unemployed persons. A swing at creating 200,000 ‘jobs’ with SEASONAL CHRISTMAS PURCHASES is still only 1/8 of the new monthly claims. Just AMAZING!!!!!
The Dems certainly don’t have a penchant for MATH.
