This will play up well in the Entitlement community.

The way things are shaping up you could assume that Hussien will get back in the WH.

Gingrich and Perry have it right.

And I toured around the net a little this morning and I'm seeing posters on here parroting talking points from Kos, HuffPo and NPR defending Romney. You're not surprised I'll bet. LOL

Presidential candidates hear tales of woe all the time on the campaign trail. But rarely does one respond by pulling cash out of his back pocket to help a struggling voter pay her bills

They do that sort of thing all the time in south American banana republics.

This is shameful behavior because Mittens has humiliated the woman by throwing 50 dollars at her. Most people do not panhandle and beg for food because they see it as a humiliating experience and beneath their dignity.

Here we have a woman complaining about her loss of job in the context of economic policies and Mittens throws her some cash. This is sheer arrogance and shameful behavior.

Exactly. Romney is hoping to pad his vote count by attracting the welfare vote going into Florida.

it was probably staged

You mean they don't usually walk around with money all over them?

I was doing some maintenance work at our church this week when a man in worn out clothes came into the office and said he was hungry and asked if we could help him. I took $10 out of my wallet and gave it to him so he could go to the grocery store for a sandwich.
I didn’t change this guy’s life. But I hopefully gave him the hope and energy to spend a few minutes looking for a way for him to change his own life.
I just hope that none of you giving Romney s... for this act saw me do that (sarcasm).

Wow, I’m not a big fan of Romney, but does everything he does have to be spun negatively? He did a good deed and he’s still slammed for it.

Mostly because it doesn't change the fact that he's slime who destroyed the economy of MA with his idiot liberal policies while enslaving the people there with a nazi like healthcare policy...just like obama's doing.

At least he didn’t bet her $10,000 on something.

I’ve made similar gestures. I didn’t do it on a campaign rope line though and if I was ever a politician on a rope line I wouldn’t be so self-serving as to reach for my wallet in front of everyone and hand over some bills.

Romney has staff. He could have done the same thing discretely — this was done for show.

It's real

It's a publicity shot released by Bain Capital after a big score in the '90s. The man's an ass.

With Sarah Palin, this would not have even presented itself.

This was nothing more than a staged act for Romney to show that he’s just a simple, hometown, down to earth good guy and when a poor woman begs for money, it’s not beneath him to bare is soul and giver her money from his huge stash.

This was a staged political stunt and nothing more. The purpose was to show that Romney had a good heart and was able to show the world that he did......NOTHING MORE.

Palin would find it deplorable to do a stunt like this.

The important thing was did he ask if he could earn the money by helping you do the maintenance work? I would guess NO.

There are actually a few down-and-out people, not poor by their own means, but by fate and circumstance. They all wish to get back on their feet again and become productive citizens. On the other hand, most are bums and nothing more and have no intention on improving themselves.

Believe me, he found a sap and he will return for more.

This whole thing smells of a set up. They'd met once earlier; the woman burned up costly gasoline driving around looking for Mitt. Her "story" conveniently includes that she was praying for a way to keep the lights on at home...

Mitt should have offered her a job on his campaign.

That, of course, assumes that she wasn’t already working for him.

There has only been one actual state primary so far.

WAY too early to begin any conversation about working together.

Right now, job one is to beat Romney, and he’s no better than a gutter worm until then.

Focus please. :D

But what photos was Obama posing for at the same age? :)

“Is there no level so low as Romney would stoop to pick up a couple of votes?”

Everyone here, including his supporters, KNOW the answer to that question!

“Based on the virulence of some of these comments, what are y’all gonna do? Refuse to vote for him?”

Yes.
