WHO WOULDN'T ENJOY FIRING THESE PEOPLE?
Anncoulter.com ^ | 1/11/12 | Ann Coulter

Earlier this week, Mitt Romney got into trouble for saying, "I like being able to fire people who provide services to me." To comprehend why the political class reacted as if Romney had just praised Hitler, you must understand that his critics live in a world in which no one can ever be fired -- a world known as "the government."

Ann’s article is brilliant, and only the hardcore Romney haters would find it otherwise. Find one untruth in Ann’s article, I double dare you.

Hey, I’m with you.

Thanks, I need all the help I can get against the fairly irrational and illogical wolfpack that shows up on some of these threads. And boy, some of them are way out there.

The quote about firing people was taken wholly out of context and really was just a typical MSM hit on a Republican. He clearly was saying he liked having the freedom to “fire” service providers who provide lousy service, for example insurance companies. It had nothing to do with firing employees. Ann is right about this one. You don’t have to be a Romney supporter (and I’m not) to call them out on this one.

What saddens me are people who scream vitriolic invective at someone who disagrees which Republican is the best choice.

Who do you support, and why? Coulter’s choice, however unpopular, is bolstered by her reasoning—it may be faulty, but it is offered.

All I often see around here are screeds of anger against Romney and those who think he should be the nominee.

Yet you continue to visit FR. Interesting.

Jim Robinson, thank God, while unabashedly anti-Romney, has not banned Coulter’s columns or others from the board...at least it is stuff worth discussing.

I never said that it wasn't. I simply offered my negative opinion of Ann Coulter's backing of Romney after stating that she had raised some valid points. Apparently you overlooked that part of my post.

So Jim, who should I, as an undecided voter in the Florida primary, vote for, and why? I already know who you think I should vote against.

Thanks for asking.

I suggest you vote for Rick Santorum because while not the 99.9/10 'pure' conservative some insist on (an individual that has never and will never exist) Rick is a consistent conservative with solid conservative moral values. He is a serious yet affable guy and yes, I believe he can beat Obama. In fact, I believe that a potted plant could beat Obama, despite the rosy predictions of an Obama election day triumph we get from the leftmedia and the ridiculous claims from the Republican 'establishment' that only a 'moderate' (translation: quasi-liberal) can possibly defeat Barack Obama. Newt Gingrich is too angry and too associated with the corrupt Washington beltway establishment as well as being too mercurial in nature, Rick Perry doesn't have the gravitas or the political acumen, Jon Huntsman is invisible to most voters and Ron Paul is just a distraction from reality. Vote for Santorum.

How's that?
