Denver is now America’s Team.
TEBOW Da Man. . . . .
Be sure to post the ratings after next Saturday’s Broncos-Pats game. They will be off the charts!
The ratings for the first Broncos-Pats game were through the roof, so yes, I can only imagine what the ratings for this game will be.
Wild card games are usually not premium games, Most are like the Baltimore-Kansas City matchup cited in the article - of interest to the local areas and die-hard NFL fans but not often a compelling game.
Since the Steelers are regular playoff visitors, one would have to assume that the Broncos and their quarterback were the main focus that led to the ratings upsurge.
I don’t know what next week will bring, I am just thankful Tim Tebow is unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Win or lose, he is a good fellow.
He makes me want to be a better Christ follower.
I haven’t followed football since the early 70’s. Now I’m interested again. Tebow is doing for Pro Football what Michael Jackson did to pop music with his Off the Wall album.
I haven’t followed the NFL since about 1996.
Started hearing about Tebow this year...liked what I heard.
I sort of passively watched teh scores of this game on my comp yesterday, then I saw how this ended on teh first play of overtime!
I am totally hooked now!!!! Go Denver! Go Tebow!
and the large audience was rewarded with a game that was actually worth watching as well.
As Hannity pointed out this afternoon...John 3:16 “God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son”.
Tebow...yesterday: 316 yards passing...average gain...31.6 yards.
Coincidence?
All the sports geniuses say you can't be successful throwing the football like this. Uh-huh.
1. Peak rating/share: 31.6
2. Passing yardage: 316
3. Yards per completion: 31.6
4. John 3:16
5. Steelers' possession time 31:06
Agree! Tebow is so refreshing. The key is following Christ, as you said. JC is the best role model.
In a bit of serendipity as I could care less about Denver and care only negatively about the Steelers, being a Ravens fan...I chanced to pass by husband’s TV in his man cave. I saw, at that time, that the Broncos/Steelers game was tied and about to go into overtime.
“Wow,” I remarked. “It’s not often you get to see an overtime game. I’m going to turn it on out in my area.”
Which I did and husband came by and together we watched the coin toss. Just a couple moments of time, shared by husband and wife, both of us watching, not expecting to see much so soon.
Of course I need not elaborate, we all know what happened. My floor almost broke from the force of my jaw hitting it in astonishment that I would, at that exact moment, be watching a most amazing football play, my eyes glued to the set, my mind thinking....can this be....could this guy actually make it to a TD?
I’d heard of Tim Tebow, of course, but I didn’t even know that he played for the Broncos. Like I said....anything other than the Ravens I don’t know much.
Once I realized that the Broncos was Tim Tebow’s team it got really difficult to pick up my jaw.
I smiled deep into the night over the timing of it all.
Heckuva game and a great finish! I don’t care what anybody says...Tebow’s da man!
Perhaps not the most fortunate analogy, but I take your point.
31.6 viewing share... like john 3:16
his passing yardage 316 as well
is God trying to tell us something...
tebow time.

Maybe a better analogy would be what Brian Setzer did for Swing Music in the late 90s.
