The surrender is complete now. The Hindu reports that the Obama administration has turned to Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s leading jurist, to mediate secret negotiations between the United States and the Taliban.
I wrote about Qaradawi at length in The Grand Jihad and, here at NRO, have regularly catalogued his activities (see, e.g., here, here, here, here, and here; see also Andrew Bostom’s “Qaradawi’s Odious Vision”). For those who may be unfamiliar with him, he is the most influential Sunni Islamist in the world, thanks to such ventures as his al-Jazeera TV program (Sharia and Life) and website (IslamOnline.net). In 2003, he issued a fatwa calling for the killing of American troops in Iraq. As he put it,
Those killed fighting the American forces are martyrs given their good intentions since they consider these invading troops an enemy within their territories but without their will. . . . Although they are seen by some as being wrong, those defending against attempts to control Islamic countries have the intention of jihad and bear a spirit of the defense of their homeland.
Qaradawi urges that Islam must dominate the world, under a global caliphate governed by sharia. He maintains that Islam “will conquer Europe [and] will conquer America.” He sometimes qualifies that the conquering will be done “not through the sword but through da’wa,” but the qualification is a feint.

Is this for real?
My plans for election night Nov.12, say my evening prayers that our government will turn it's eyes back to our Lord God, grab some take out Chinese, six pack of brew (w/bottle of champagne in the waiting) and a t.v. remote.
Then as the threshold is crossed and an announcement comes across the screen that this muzzies been defeated, shake that bottle of bubbly and pop the cork in celebration that this leftist pukes been run outta OUR house.
“I hope all these folks that voted for O-bozo are proud of what they’ve done to America.”
Also those pubbies that would never vote for McCain and did not vote.

Why is the qualification a feint? The muzzies can’t beat the American People or even the US government by force. But through our own multiculti suicide, we will allow them to come in, infiltrate our society, make small demands to slowly change us, and then begin the conversion process as our own weakness makes us long for their strength.
Many of our Christian denominations are even afraid to stand up and say that declare that Jesus is Lord and the only way to the Father anymore, thanks to multiculti. Every time a leftist pastor waffles on the issue, a church full of people loses a little bit of faith, and that’s a hole in the soul that islam wants to move in and fill.
This generation will not convert to islam, or even the next. But the damage is slowly being done, thanks to our own leftist pastors and media, and eventually, our faith will be more holes than substance. The muzzies can wait for us to destroy ourselves.
Well, the American people wanted change and they most certainly are getting change. I wonder how they will like it when the blood of their families run in the steets under the marxist islamic terrorist president the foools of America elected.
I believe the man plans to be a 1 lifeterm dictator and with the islamic terrorists and the communist left wing and rino useful idiots, he may get it.
Perhaps America is being judged for the great sin against the one true and living God of Israel and His anointed son Jesus Christ. Prophecy is being fulfilled and only the unbelievers do not know it.

Attempting to re-brand a moderate liberal that's been in the Senate for 2 1/2 decades.
Don't blame the voter for their conservative principles, blame the Republican party for the lack of fielding candidates that truly align with what is supposed to be Republican core principles.
I've never understood this. The thought that "someone of Faith," like a minister or rabbi, wouldn't just come out with the statement, "My beliefs are correct. You're welcome to your own beliefs, but I happen to think they're wrong" is mind boggling. If you can't make that statement, then how can you "believe?" How can you claim to have faith.
While many wars have been fought over this sort of thing, and many millions have been killed, it's not over the beliefs. It's always due to the fact that one religion will not allow others to coexist... Just like what we see in the muslim religion, in particular the way the taliban practice their horrific strain of islam.

I voted for John McCain in 2008 because I knew exactly who Barack “Muslim Brotherhood” Hussein Obama was, long before he received the Democrat POTUS nomination!!! And.....yes, I will vote for Mitt Romney or any other Republican because Obama must be defeated and the current Democrat Party destroyed politically
These Freeper posters that say they will never vote for this candidate or that candidate are only cutting their noses off to spite their face, IMHO!!! Obama must be defeated, and.....I intend to work very hard to get Obama and the entire Democrat Party massively defeated come election day, November, 2012!! The last candidate I actively worked for was Jim Buckley, who ran for the US Senate in 1970 from the State of New York. Buckley, the brother of William F. Buckley ran soley on the NY Conservative Party ticket and won the senate seat, stunning the New York Democrat & Republican liberal establishment.
IMHO, we all need to band together, every American voter, get behind our Republican candidate for POTUS and all other offices, local or national, and soundly defeat the America hater & destroyer Barack “Muslim Brotherhood” Hussein Obama and his Democrat Party “dirt bag” America naysayers!!!
If Obama takes America out of the equasion there will be no country strong enough to fight muslims in their attempt at world domination.
Obama has weakened our economy, created armies of dependents, depleted our nuclear capability, spit on the Constitution, ignored the fact that we are “at war with terrorists”, ignored congress, refuses to drill so we can be independent from mid-east oil, and basically has brought us down to the level of a third world hellhole. This was his plan all along.
He believes America is to arrogant and we need to be punished, and he is about to do great damage before election. Weaken America from the inside and make it impossible for us to fight his muslim takeover.
He needs to be impeached and arrested for acts of treason against America. Enemies foreign and domestic. Obama is the enemy.
I know. I’ve confronted a few of these weak christians and they always go to “what do you want, a new bunch of crusades with us killing muslims?” Typical liberal argument—take it to the extreme as if there is no middle ground between surrender and war.
When I say that we should just declare our faith as absolutely as the muslims do, they go to the “People of the Book” lies that claim that “only islam allows the other two Abrahamic religions the opportunity to coexist”.
Even if you go to the words of Jesus, they will begin to discredit John as an apologist who was writing to people as a salesman for the new religion.
The more you talk to these people, the more you doubt that they are even christian at all—or if they ever were.
Fear not.

Some background is needed to understand this issue.
Al-Qardawi along with Tariq al-Bashri, Haytham al-Khayat, Muhammad Salim al-’Awa and Fahmi Huwaidi, five leading Islamic Sharia jurists, issued a fatwa dealing with Muslims in the American military having to fight other Muslims, part of which follows:
“And if the Muslim military personnel in the American army are able to request to serve temporarily during these imminent battles in the rear ranks to work in the area of rations and the like without that causing for them and other American Muslims any difficulty or detriment, then there is no problem in them making this request.”
“However, if this request will cause detriment or difficulty in the form of doubts about their loyalty, or exposes to
them to suspicion or false accusations, or harms their employment prospects, or casts doubt on their patriotism, or something similar, then this request is not permissible.”
This fatwa has been of great benefit to our military, allowing a basis for American Muslims to serve in combat missions against al Qaida, Taliban, etc. Arabic and Pashto native speakers have bee invaluable to us.
It is a complicated war against jihadists, you take your friends where you find them.
Al-Qardawi is the key to separating al Qaeda, particularly Zawahiri from the shelter of the Taliban in Pakistan.
Our primary goal is the extermination of AQ and the elimination of their training camps and hiding places in Pakistan. Biden was correct in that the Taliban is not our primary enemy there.
The Taliban live in Af-Pak and they aren’t leaving, we are. We can’t leave until AQ is the enemy of the Taliban.

I agree totally with that. I pray they’ve learned, albeit the hard way. I’d researched BHO in depth and was near hysteria when the star-struck media announced his victory that night in ‘08.

Well, if you're going to negotiate with the Taliban, al Qaradawi would be a go to guy. I'd bet on al Qardawi coming out on top. It really will be an Islamist Spring. The last year has brought advances beyond their wildest dreams. And no, the don't miss Osamsa, the "mainstream" Islamists, those with "acceptable" open political organizations are winning right now. They'll be running several nations soon.
