Belling is very boring, but at least he isnt full of himself like Mark Davis.
I can’t abide Mark Davis.
sometimes...
It’s unfathomable that Paul is surging in the polls.
I won’t listen to any of the Marks.
I like Steyn but he is better in the written word.
Steyn has some cutting wit.
It comes off as guffawing when he does radio sometimes, but I like his wit.
The guy is sharp as a tack.
And for a writer, he a has pretty good radio presence.
They don't want to. They were the ones who set up the open primary system and they have no intention of changing it.
The history of this goes back to the end of the Reagan administration. The RNC insiders were determined that "another Reagan", i.e., a people's candidate they didn't own or control, would never slip past them and gain the nomination.
During the George H.W. Bush presidency the GOP bigwigs set up a committee to plan and implement a strategy to work at the individual state levels to prevent a recurrence. One of those strategies was the open primary system, and they worked with the various RNC/GOP state leaders to change as many states as possible to this method. Another component of this pre-emptive strategy was the control of the carefully orchestrated staggered timing of the various state primaries, wherein the sequencing and timing give the so-called moderate candidates an early edge.
One of the main GOP players in this effort that I remember was then or recently former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman, a classic RINO/insider herself. These efforts proceeded mostly under the radar of the American people.
The end result is the rigged game we are seeing today, where insider non-approved candidates can screened-out in many instances even before the first votes are cast. They started working during Bush I to gain control of the choke-points of the process and were tremendously successful in cementing the RNC/GOP establishment insiders' control of the primary system.
One more recent interesting parallel to this GOP/RNC plan was the "Secretaries of State Project" sponsored by George Soros which was very successful in stacking the deck in many states with liberal Secretaries of State, who co-incidentally, get to make the calls and rulings on electoral issues and disputes... /g
They have no intention of abolishing or fixing the current setup, and will fight tooth and nail anyone who does.
“Rinse Pubus” sucks
The RNC sucks.
I wanted to believe in Micheal Steel, but he sucks too.
I think the Republican etablishment believes that if Newt were to win the nomination he would bring the Tea Party and true Conservatives into the party in numbers and strength that may diminish the RINOS power. They also believe Newt would cater to and deliver for this new group and actually return us to sanity with balanced budgets and a reduction in the size of government and solve some of our ongoing problems such as Illegal-Immigration. I’m a lifelong Republican because Conservatism or our Republic will not survive a 3rd party. Newt’s election with his inclusion of Conservatives and the Tea Partiers could give us a truly Conservative Republican party.
What Belling is talking about now drives me crazy.
No one can or ever has won re election this kind of economy, but we are doing our best to make it happen.
Yes we are...
Myth Romney, Newt Gingrich...
Ron paul
Belling is bashing newt, but he brings up the VA ballot issue.
Perry got whacked there too.
5 of 7 candidates got whacked.
Do we let it stand?
Belling is an idiot, and if he ever fills in for Rush again I will do as I did today, turn the channel and listen to country music as I work instead.
No Virginia, there is no Newta Claus, but there is a Romney Claus! I hope you don’t mind.
42” HD TV for $299!
Woohoo! inexpensive propaganda on the BIG screen!
Ahh well, I never forced anyone to tune in.
Belling doesn’t like Romney, he just hates Newt even more. He has been very critical of Romney and his healthcare program on his regular talk show.
Well I don’t think I can take two days of belling, but thanks for dropping bye.
I needed a debate.
Thanks for the chin wag.
