Is WND's Jerome Corsi a plagiarist? (Zot's all)

World Net Daily writer Jerome Corsi may have really stepped in it this time...

Loren Collins, who writes at Barackryphal, just uncovered what could shred whatever little credibility Corsi’s had.

Loren found that a Dec. 19 article published in WND, headlined, “Obama’s Legacy of Broken Promises – in Kenya” seems to have passages in it that were pulled partially or wholly from articles that appeared in the London Evening Standard – July 25, 2008 – and a May 2011 African news service story.

In his article, Corsi says all but two of the quotes in question came from his “inside sources” in Kenya.

But as Loren points out, most of Corsi’s “borrowed” material seems to have come from quite visible sources:

"In short, every single quote or finding specifically attributed to Corsi’s unnamed “researchers” was lifted from an earlier publication by another news agency."

You really need to go to Loren’s Web site to read this; he even reprints Corsi’s article and color codes the questionable passages by their probable origin...

Not that I know of for a certainty. I’m sure both of ‘em have lurked from time to time. I’m pretty certain Corsi posted at least back in the 1998-2000 era. I’ve never seen Rush post, but have heard him take the same point of view expressed here from time to time.

Looks like you have a slight advantage senioritywise on this site. I lurked from 1998-2000 and have had a ball most all that time until now. Really miss some of them “old time FReepers,” however. Let's just say for argument's sake Corsi did lift those passages verbatim. If he tells us the sky is blue and grass is green are we to now insist that they are NOT those colors?

Jerry Corsi did a bang-up job uncovering the fraud that is Barak Obama and nothing will ever change that.
