New PA Threat: End Cooperation With Israel

The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) announced Wednesday it is reviewing whether to downgrade ties with Israel and halt security cooperation in light of the moribund peace process

"This is the current Palestinian move as the Israeli government stalled the peace process and completely locked the political horizon," PLO executive committee member Wasel Abu Yousuf said of security arrangements with Israel.

"A change in the status quo is a must," said Abu Yousuf, stressing that walking away from unfair prior agreements with Israel remained a key option for the PLO.

"The Paris Economic Agreements will also be re-reviewed and amended should the Israeli government decide to freeze the Palestinian revenue funds again," Yousuf added.

"The entire political equation in Palestine is completely blocked, and the Palestinian leadership cannot stand still," he said, adding that Israel is to blame for stalled talks since it has not acquiesced carte blanche to PA demands.

Since PLA (or any other Palistinian organization for that matter) has absolutely no cards to play, every threat essentially boils down to “give us what we want or we start blowing up innocent Israeli citizens again”. That is the hand which has been dealt to Israel. I’m not necessarily a big Israel supporter in terms of foriegn aid but how would we respond to such a threat and why should we expect Israel to respond any differently?

The start of the present intifadda, which has resulted in an average of 4 terrorist attacks a day for the last ten years was a Palestinian Police man who walked up to his Jewish partner sitting in the squad car and blew his brains out.

This is Palestinian Security coperation in action.

Nuke Gaza, the Jews are gone.

Rich Arabs need to donate land to the so-called Palestinians and give them an Arab homeland. Then Israel needs to invite them (with force if necessary) to leave Israel forever.

I'm sure the Palestinians will plant trees, instill democratic governments, create excellent education centers and prosper - just as the Jews have done... Then again, they could choose to live in the poverty and thuggery known to exist in most Muslim cultures... Either way, they are NOT Israel's problem - and they would cease being the world's problem...

OK, then they need to be prepared to do without the electricity, water, sewers, medical care, and everything else Israel provides and for which it is not paid.

“How would we tell the difference?”

They’d start lynching outright Palis who sell land to Jooos! or report terrorist activities to the IDF, instead of trying them and then hanging them. They’d also refuse to recognize the State of Israel as a Jewish state, only do it again for emphasis. They’d pass out sweets in the street every time an infant is murdered in her bed, instead of confiscating Jooo!-made products from Pali store owners...no, wait. They already do that. OK. I tried.

“how would we respond to such a threat and why should we expect Israel to respond any differently?”

Oh, we’re used to being blown up on public buses or murdered in our beds. It adds a little tingle to our otherwise humdrum existence. So naturally, we should just keep negotiating with an empty chair, and freezing all building activity until the empty chair smiles at us or something. In the US, however, such a life would be unthinkable, so naturally you’d never be expected to do the same.

If he does, he might notice how little patience his subjects now have for his demands that they blow themselves up.
