Coulter: Romney The "Most Conservative" Candidate In GOP Field
RealClearPolitics ^ | 12/14/2011 | Comment

What I changed my mind about is whether -- by the way I changed my mind three months after that on a FOX News show because the economy was so bad. I said, look, I'm generally a pessimist for running against -- actually, maybe I'm not. We have a popular Democratic president, who does has an attractive family, has the entire mainstream behind him, and he's an incumbent. That is why I thought the candidate we ran would lose. I no longer think. I now think Obama has a glass jaw, and I said that a few months after that statement, by the way. It's not really that big of change -- we don't know if my prediction was wrong now -- what I am saying now is of the available candidates, Romney is by far the most conservative, tied with Michele Bachmann. And he has the proven ability to win in a state like Massachusetts," Ann Coulter said on "Hannity" on Tuesday night.

IMHO, the title of this article could just as well be "What's wrong with Ann Coulter?"--has she been living in Kansas?

Coulter is just another elitist pos...she is obviously ‘judging’ conservatism by her own less than conservative views.

Actually the most consistently conservative would easily be Bachmann.

The woman has lost her mind.

She's totally ignoring Romney's liberal past, his willingness to say anything to get elected, plus his monster continual flip-flops.

What happened to Ann's brain?

Ann seems to be trying to jump the shark here lately. She is losing credibility with assertions as ridiculous as this. Romney is easily the most liberal of the field. No one else comes close.

People have been pestering Rush to pick a candidate for the “good of the cause”.

Here it is “prima facie” evidence of why people like Ann and Rush should not do this at this stage.

It makes you look like a fool. In order to bolster the candidate you think has the best chances of beating Obama (which certainly can be seen as a “cause”) you have to make foolish statements like this.

Romney is more conservative than Santorum? Tied with Michelle? Really?

Ms. Coulter liked Obama over Gov. Palin,
and thinks Moot is a conservative.

Delusional, she is.

Its kinda funny. All our FReeper FRiends talk about not letting the media choose our candidate then happily accept the media mantra that Newt Romney is our only choice.

Santorum and Bachmann are the real conservatives.

Romney describes himself as moderate.

Newt thinks FDR is the greatest president we've had.

But there is another.

One advantage Bachmann has is the fact that her kids are grown which I personally think played a big part in Palin choosing not to run. I know I would never run for office above the local level because I wouldn’t want to subject my family to the rabid hate of the left.

I know the media put out the word that they would happily pay for dirt on Bachmann but didn’t get anywhere with it. They even talked to a couple of Bachmann’s kids both natural and foster kids and none of them had anything the media could use.

Coulter’s whole empire is on the line here. Last night she was swinging her long blonde locks wildly trying to rationalize why she changed her tune on Romney, etc. She was incoherent. I don’t have interest in any of her columns at this point, much less her books.

It does seem to be a thing affecting northeastern Republican* women of a certain age. It must be some kind of syndrome. I just thank God none of them ever met Ted Bundy when he was on a charm offensive.

*which is not to say conservative, no no.

Coulter is a bomb thrower.

She knows no matter the outcome of the 2012 election she will prosper with her book sales.

Just like Obama boasts that Sasha and Milia will prosper no matter what befalls the rest of us schlubs in the future.

Coulter is a big Chris Christie fan hence her allegiance to Romney. I loved that Sean played a clip of one of her speeches last night where she basically said we can’t let Romney be president.

????

Ann, you spent too much time making excuses for GWB. The fumes have definitely impaired your judgment.

She thought Christie was conservative too.

Ann loves northeastern, establishment RINO’s. She’s slobbered all over Christie in the past and still sees him as the next great thing in 4 or 8 years.

I think Ann is now so enamored with her success that she’s lost sight of what conservatism really is. Christie and Romney are allowed as token conservatives in NJ and Massachusetts, but, they’ve never strayed far from the liberal plantation. They’re nominally fiscal conservatives, at least from an insider’s perspective, but their contempt for traditional conservative values just seethes below the surface. They speak a language the enlightened classes well understand.

I think maybe Hussein’s handlers have been speaking to prominent “conservatives” and telling them what is in store for their careers during the Fraud’s NEXT 4 years and asking them how much they value their careers and lives.

Several weeks ago, Hannity abandoned his “Making Obama a one-term president” intro.

The fix is in.

Establishment Republicans (seem to be at least half of them) appear to believe that for whatever reason, the liar and fraud is “best” for America.
