Why? Look they have been doing exactly that for as long as I have been alive. And nobody has tried to stop them. There have been several attempts to draw a line, but since the reconquest of Spain in 1492 nobody has tried to take any land back from them. It would have been easy to Christianize the former Ottoman empire in 1918. Their army was in ruin, most of it occupied by the troops of the British, French and Italians. Faith in the Sultan had been smashed. We were not yet dependent on Saudi oil, in fact nobody even knew it was there yet. We could have pulled down the mosques and been done with it once and for all. But nobody had the stomach to do what needed to be done.

In the real world victory goes not to the strongest, the swiftest, or the smartest. It goes to the most determined, most persistent, and most violent. Because the strong will tire against the determined. The fast sprinter will be overtaken by the persistent marathon runner. And the intelligent will recoil in horror in the face of violent rage. Modern Islam is the embodiment of determined, persistent, violence. Until met with an opposing ideology that can beat them in all categories they can to pretty much whatever they want.

My wife is an immigrant, with lots of relatives in northern Italy. She agrees with you. Her statement is that the modern indolent socialist European is a thin frosting covering a much more violent and basic kind of culture. Her prediction is that once the Muslims really start getting out of hand, you’ll see the camps and genocide. Not that the Moslems haven’t provoked it themselves.
