Obama to Kansas to Evoke Teddy Roosevelt
FOXNEWS ^ | December 06, 2011 | Kimberly Schwandt

President Obama will give an economic speech in Osawatomie, Kan., Tuesday at a location the White House says it was very specific in picking and was meant to stir echoes of President Teddy Roosevelt.

Roosevelt spoke in the very same town more than 100 years ago on Aug. 31, 1910, where he presented his vision for America and the coming 1912 election.

The White House says it spent a month planning and choosing this location and that there are parallels between how working class families felt then and now.

Roosevelt gave what was called a "New Nationalism" agenda, talking about regulation on special interests (even using that term), and calling out for welfare, human rights and a greater role for federal government.

At the time the remarks, given to more than 30,000 people, had a wide-range of reaction, even some calling them "Communist and "Socialist," according to the Kansas Historical Society.

"This New Nationalism regards the executive power as the steward of the public welfare," Roosevelt said.

The Obama administration's take is that Roosevelt's Osawatomie speech was about a "fair chance, a square deal and an equal opportunity to succeed," reads a description on the president' schedule.

Adding that Obama will "talk about how he sees this as a make-or-break moment for the middle class and all those working to join it."

The word "fair" was used several times in advance of the speech. That's a word Obama has used multiple times, over several months in wrangling with Congress and GOP, saying the wealthiest need to pay their "fair share" in his jobs bill proposal that taxes millionaires.

"The president's speech will encapsulate the debates that we've been having this year over our economic policy and over our economic future," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said in Monday's briefing.

Don't expect someone who spent $870 billion on a Keynesian stimulus that didn't produce the expected results, and wants to do more of the same, to agree with the Laffer curve;
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/laffercurve.asp#axzz1flOBqSCD
What Does Laffer Curve Mean?
Invented by Arthur Laffer, this curve shows the relationship between tax rates and tax revenue collected by governments.
Laffer Curve
The curve suggests that, as taxes increase from low levels, tax revenue collected by the government also increases. It also shows that tax rates increasing after a certain point (T*) would cause people not to work as hard or not at all, thereby reducing tax revenue. Eventually, if tax rates reached 100% (the far right of the curve), then all people would choose not to work because everything they earned would go to the government.

Investopedia explains Laffer Curve
Governments would like to be at point T*, because it is the point at which the government collects maximum amount of tax revenue while people continue to work hard.

I don’t think it’s fair that I have to suffer through another year of Obama’s
Presidency when it is fairly clear

he has no leadership skills,
calls us lazy, bows to foreign leaders, will not comment on Fast and Furious
or fire Eric Holder, told the Bowles-Simpson committee (which he appointed
and was his idea) to buzz off and we are 15 trillion in debt, and
we had a debt downgrade, first in history.

Exactly what The ONE believes. A single branch of government that doesn't need the Constitution, doesn't want the Constitution, and will do everything possible to negate the Constitution.

Yeah. And he's decided to break it.

Another campaign trip at our expense.

Air Force One has more flight time then the DC to Orlando shuttle.

From Teddy Roosevelt’s New Nationalism speech:

“No man is worth his salt in public life who makes on the stump a pledge which he does not keep after election; and, if he makes such a pledge and does not keep it, hunt him out of public life.”

Seriously, doesn’t history view Teddy roosevelt as a failure...a mis-guided idealist.

It has been fun watching the commentators try to pronounce Osawatomie. By local reports, the town is on lock down. It’s a pretty small town. Has history regarding John Brown. He killed a bunch of border ruffians from Missouri there. Currently is the home of the state mental hospital. That’s all I know about Osawatomie.

History SHOULD view TR as a failure but clearly we have been taught to worship the very ground he stole from under our feet.

Are we about to see the point at which a majority of the American voters say enough with this little basstyrd’s lying to us? When will We The People tell this lying anti-American, european socialist WANNABE to stuff his lying and assault on our sovereignty in a carpet bag and get his stinky commie ass and the smelly administration he’s cobbled up to destroy America out of our House? Are Americans really so tolerant that they tolerate the appointment of an openly degenerate poseur to head a major department of the federal government deciding the future education of our children? I mean, when is enough enough from the DNC and their czarist criminal enterprise?

I could have sworn Teddy R lost that election, so what good does this comparison do The One?
