The military maintains it is a misunderstanding and they rescinded the policy in order to clarify it ... where’s the original memo? I want to judge for myself if this is really a misunderstanding. Chances are it is NOT.

The light switch is turned on and the cockroaches scurry for the cracks in the wall. Excuses and obfuscations will fly like bats out of a bat cave. This memo was approved by the commander of Walter Reed. It states, “No religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading material, and/or artifacts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit.” Public Affairs Officer Sandy Dean claims these instructions have been rescinded because they did not, “articulate our initial intention which was to respect religious and cultural practices of our patients.” The instructions were “misinterpreted” because they were “ambiguous.” VA Cemetery director Arleen Ocasio attempted to ban the mention of Christ’s name at the Houston cemetery. I guess this is just another example of someone being “misunderstood.”

There are to many signs from the word that shows Christians what is going on today and what has built up to the destruction of our beautiful country and our freedoms... God is watching!! I will never renounce God for anyone,no matter what anyone might do to me..

Our Father through His Trinity is what brought birth to this great nation. Her existence prospered and world wars won by faith in Jesus. Remove The Father from this nation and she falls, her blessings will cease.

For years, the military has been used as a new-age PC test lab. I saw an article in the Keesler AFB rag that showed troops collecting shoes for the needy and one of the "benefits" was a way to fight global warming> Between the repeal of DADT, homosexuality tolerance, religious "tolerance" and other training indoctrination training DoD folks have to go through, defending the US of A is a secondary thing these days.

Veterans Not Allowed To Use ‘God’ In Funerals At Houston VA Cemetery. Houston National Cemetery Director, Ms. Arlene Ocasio, was requiring grieving families and volunteer groups to not use the words “God” or “Jesus” at any funeral ceremony without her prior approval.

A Houston, Texas, court system managed by an “out” lesbian judge has dismissed municipal tickets that had been written against two pastors who were preaching against sin, including homosexuality, on a prominent street corner.

The men were ticketed for having signs thicker than one-quarter inch (they say they were 3/16ths and that they’d been approved beforehand) and for having a sign not made out of wood.

Officers responded after someone apparently complained about the messengers and their message, but a video shows that the first officer on the scene told them they weren’t doing anything wrong.

It was a few minutes later, however, when officers approached the preachers, grabbed a video camera, wrestled them to the ground and put them in handcuffs.

That’s even though Stokes and Allan have been preaching at that location for several years.

” The lack of critical thinking skill in the class of people running things is as disturbing as the spiritual decay in evidence here.”

This is precisely what PC destroys, what it is INTENDED to destroy from day one. PC has been in effect softening the critical thinking of the bureacratic class for 40 some-odd years. A new broom in the whitehouse will change very little if anything at all.

I think part of the problem is we've become such wimps. Some petty bureaucrat says we can't bring a Bible into a hospital or can't say a prayer mentioning God over a military grave and we cower. What would happen if everyone ignored these "rules" that no one has the power to enforce anyway? Bureaucrats count on people acting like frightened sheep--so what would happen if we we didn't? Just bring your Bible into the hospital, for crying out loud.

You're so right, and it's not just the bureaucratic class. This lack of critical thinking runs rampant among teenagers--even young people in their twenties and thirties. They tend to believe that no one can know anything with certainty, that all opinions are equal, that all cultures are equal, etc. It's scary as hell. Minds like that can be talked into believing anything.

Article 125 was a catch-all restriction. It included all hetero-sexual behavior outside of the missionary position. Beck is being he usual dishonest, sensationalist self by hyping the "bestiality and sodomy" portion of that ruling.

Certainly it was done so that the gays could do their thing after the repeal of the DADT policy, but his choice to mention bestiality was pure sensationalism.

That kind of dishonest presentation is why I quit watching him.

I understand what you are saying but the Senate bill now allows Sodomy and Bestiality due to no language disallowing it.

Please everyone calm down. The policy was meant to prevent people accosting patients they DIDN’T know and forcing their religious beliefs and material upon them. Would you want someone bothering you while you recovered from surgery, wanting you to take a Torah or Koran? No, of course not. And neither would people who follow those books appreciate overly aggressive Christian proselytizing in a similar situation. I think Christ would want us to treat our brothers as we would like to be treated. Just my opinion.
