Rep. West: Cain ‘should move on’ from the race

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) said Wednesday he would advise Herman Cain to let voters “move on” from the distraction of his campaign.

Cain told his campaign this week it is time to “reassess” in light of the resurfacing of old sexual harassment allegations and new accusations this week that he carried on a 13-year affair.

"Beyond reassessing his campaign, he probably needs to understand that he is a distracter for what's going on right now and we should move on," West told WMAL’s radio show “Morning Majority.”

West, a Tea Party favorite, indicated Cain is already out of the running and the GOP nomination field has come down to “a two-man race.”

I hope Mr. Cain tells Allen West to “move on” from the openly racialist Congressional Black Caucus.

Very sage advice from Allen West.

I disagree with his assessment. Cains accusers seem to have lets say a lot of personal problems which makes their integrity highly suspect.

And just why do you think that Rep West joined that caucus???

The “two men” he speaks of are Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. He calls Newt the conservative favorite, but points out that Newt has a lot of “baggage.”

So, is West working for Mitt? Is he the designated black man with Tea Party creds chosen by GOP insiders to tell Cain to get lost? I find this rather disturbing.

Rep. Allen West, member of Congressional Black Caucus has already shown what a useful idiot he is. Herman Cain and his supporters would do well to ignore a man like West that says one thing and does another.

He’s right, but one thing he doesn’t understand is that the GOP campaign matters nought to Cain or to his followers: Herman Cain loves Herman Cain, as one of the ex-girlfriends said. Cain would be perfectly happy to bog the whole thing down as long as the spotlight is on him.

Granted, a big ego is a necessity if you’re going to run for political office. But there’s big and then there’s swollen, inflated and out of control.

I wish West had run, although I don’t think he had enough national name recognition at that point and not a long enough political career.

I think Cain should stay in. The only way to end the smear jobs and MSM/RINO destruction train is to stick it out and fight on.

It ain’t over till it’s over.

Cain 2012!

Will he give the same advice to each of the candidates as they are lied about? Will he tell each one to step aside until the most eligible RINO is selected by the Dems to oppose Obama?

Very dangerous path to go down if you surrender when the shooting starts. This is very much out of character for the brave man I believe Mr. West to be.

BS, as in bullshit.

I like Lt. Col. West but disagree with him here. Unless there is something to the BS charges thrown at Cain, leaving the race is only another victory for Libtardism and RINOism.

Anybody can pick up sh*t and throw it at their intended target.

Suppose I was rich enough to pay some bimbo to come forward and claim Newt Gingrich (or any other candidate) boinked her on a picnic table in 2005 (or whatever).

In Newt's case, the charge would be a lot more credible simply because he has a history of this sort of thing. But that doesn't mean it isn't total BS.

I'm sorry West said this.

The least he could have done was to wait for some actual proof, rather than let innuendo and accusation form his opinion.

There is no candidate that cannot be taken down by the innuendo and false information given by our radical leftist MSM if we let them continue to do this.

The circular firing squad needs to stop. Those of you who think this is a good idea need to know that not sticking up for another conservative simply leaves your own candidate friendless and impotent as well.

Okay, does this mean West is a liberal RINO now? I’m having a hard time keeping track.
