It is long, over an hour, but some new stuff and some really good questions by the audience. Worth the time. IMO, it is becoming more evident that Newt is way above the others in knowledge (duh), experience, vision, communication skills, confidence, etc. It has taken me a while to go from Palin to assessing the other candidates, and now strongly leaning toward Newt.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!! Loved his discussion on energy, among other things.
+++++++++++

How a bullet list of the main points in Newt’s speech covering his energy policy?

Trust you won’t mind me listing the highlight applauses Newt got from your link as follows..Good stuff!

“If applause is any indication on what voters are reacting to from the former Speaker, here is a long laundry list of his hits during Monday’s town hall in Charleston”:

Defunding the National Labor Relations Board until a new board is seated.

“The government is subject to you.”

Defunding cities that declare themselves as “sanctuary cities” for illegal immigrants.

Defending the United States as part of the president’s role.

“Dramatically shrink the Department of Education.”

Students should get the grades they earn and teachers should have the right to discipline unruly children.

“There’s no good bills at page 2,600.”

Citing Obama’s debt-forgiveness plan for college students as ineffective.

“I don’t think you can fix (the EPA).”

“If you don’t have common sense, don’t apply here (at new Environmental Solutions Agency).”

“Waterboarding, by every technical rule, is not torture.”

“We’re not going to be intimidated in not defending the United States of America by the ACLU.”

Using litigation reform to ebb medical costs.

Establishing English as the official language of the U.S. government.

Ensuring immigrants gaining citizenship have “a serious understanding” of U.S. history.

Making deportation easier and not giving illegal immigrants the same rights as American citizens.

“There’s no illegal worker without an illegal employer.”

“(A 12.5 percent corporate rate) would actually mean that GE would pay taxes.”

Abolishing the “Death Tax.”

Repealing Dodd-Frank.

Replacing the Food and Drug Administration.

Putting a sign behind him after the inauguration that reads “America is open for business again.”

Saying Rep. Tim Scott was on his “short list” of running mates.

“We have no opponents except Barack Obama.”

“We will be back. You ain’t seen nothing yet.”

Not sure what you are asking, but there is discussion about energy/EPA throughout the speech and Q & A session. Near the beginning of his speech he talks about expanding energy production with part of proceeds going back to Feds and States. THAT I like and it is similar to what Palin did in Alaska.

hehe

well... Romney could always convert to Christianity and try again in 2016, or maybe run in his own party as a Democrat.

lol

Sure looks that way right now with two debates coming up soon.

I think the last one before the Iowa caucus is the one hosted by Fox on December 15.

Romney can’t break out from his stuck in GOP-E territory. LOL.

For those of you who still support Glenn Beck, here are his two picks for GOP candidate.

From the poll cited above

“Michele Bachmann has 3 percent, and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum rounds out the field with 1 percent....”

He just had Rick nobody will vote forum, on his radio show. He had Michele stab Newt in the Bachmann on last week and more or less endorsed her shortly thereafter.

He will have Newt on soon. I don't know why? He was trashing Newt all morning on his radio show. Newt should cancel. FUGB.

I know exactly what you're saying....and I rather like the idea it's taking people time to come to the conclusion Newt is really the best man for the job. In the debates he woke me up to the idea we need to be considering what is best for the country's security....without that nothing else will matter if we aren't secure...in all ways!

I got off the “my favorite candidate kick” and really looked closely at where our country really is and who has the ‘ability’ to step up and DO what needs doing of.

It took time to investigate Newt's past and find the truth....I was impressed more and more at how strong his conservative views are and the consistency he has had over the years concerning these.

It's pretty clear , when you look, that Newt has accomplished more for conservatives in Washington than any other...and he's been successful at getting congress to get on board. He can and has MOVED CONGRESS to act.

I am content settling on Newt regardless of how the media and some on our side might bash his past....there's far more favorable accomplishments Newt's got under his belt than any missteps taken...and none which harmed our country.

Newt's on the move and I am glad!!!!

Thank you for this link to the SC/Newt event. I am WITH Gingrich. It would be a pity for anyone to miss this speech, it is powerful and his intellect is beyond any of the other candidates.

I like Santorum alot but he's just not getting the traction he needs to win this..and I don't see this happening without media coverage and they aren't giving it to him.

Bachmann is always lashing out and stepping on her own toes so whoever is running her campaign hasn't given her the right way to go at it. She did well, and more herself, at the CNN debate....finally seeing some of what she's made of! But I'm afraid the damage to herself by herself is done.

Newt can handle Beck....he's small stuff compared to other giants Newt has to deal with.

Thank you Sud. The attacks on this site against Romney makes it seem as if he had never done anything remotely conservative. These facts need repeating often.

Excellent summary/bullet points, and well said regarding the path to supporting Newt for president. It was the debates for me as well. I really like his vision for America and since he is able to communicate his vision so well, I can see more and more people supporting him. This is exactly what kind of president we need. “He can and has MOVED CONGRESS to act” and he can and will move We the People to force congress to act.

In the SC speech he said something else I really like. ~~No American President has the right to side with foreigners, against the people and laws of the states of the US...” Newt gets it!!

With each speech Newt unveils more. I believe he said his full contract will be finalized by September and it will be on his web site. I am so looking forward to it.

Very well said. Some people just want a candidate who will repeatedly zing the President. Not that that’s a bad thing, but the goal must be to elect someone capable of accomplishing our policy objectives. No one can deny Newt’s accomplishments as Speaker.

I say that as an undecided who will ultimately vote for the anti-Romney.

Romney can’t break out from his stuck in GOP-E territory. LOL.

I am more and more convinced Romney doesn't want the job.....he's like the carrerr college student who never graduates...he likes being in the 'process' of and wearing the title of "candidate for Pres."...

I hope he remains stuck..however we haven't seen the BO machine at him yet...but it's disturbing Bachmann goes after everyone but Romney.

You must mean this record:

No, I meant everything you left out:

1. Individual Mandate.
2. Global Warming
3. TARP
4. Cap-n-Trade
5. “The Era of Reagan is Over!”
6. Scozzafazza
7. Limited Amnesty
8. Voted to create Department of Education
9. Voted for 1986 Amnesty
10. Called Ryan’s plan “Right-Wing Social Engineering”

These are not the actions of a conservative, but the actions of a professional politician.

These are not the actions of a conservative leader who actually believes in the conservative message and the issues involved including a limited federal government, but the actions of a calculating, finger-in-the-wind, politician.

If Newt is the answer, we’re in trouble.
