I have great respect for retired Navy Captain Mark Kelly’s service to this nation. I also admire the courage of Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. See Thursday’s post, “God bless you, Gabrielle Giffords.” But I find Captain Kelly’s tactics for selling his new book to be insulting , misleading and plain out wrong. More than that it is disturbingly dishonorable.

But it was the lack of any contact from former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin that was ‘surprising’ said Mr Kelly.
Citing the book, Mr Morgan said that it revealed some ‘interesting insights’ into ‘political colleagues and people that [Gabby Giffords] had worked for and against.’
Speaking about a map for which Palin was responsible, with crosshairs over certain states including Arizona, Mr Morgan said that the Alaskan ‘doesn’t come out of this very well, I don’t think, because there was a woman who at the time had been putting these crosshair things on her website and stuff, including Gabby,’ he said.
Sarah Palin’s map had nothing to do with the attempted assassination of Congresswoman Giffords. The man who shot her knew nothing of the map and had stalked the captain’s wife for 3 years prior to the shooting that left 6 people dead.

So let's see. The Daily KOS put crosshairs on Giffords because she wasn't liberal enough, and Loughner was a 9-11 truther who hated Bush, and who do lefties blame for the attack? Palin.
It has the foul stench of the JournoList crowd.
I blame the shooter who was & still is nuttier than a squirrel turd. 8^/
I thought those “cross-hairs” were surveyor marks.
The democrats used them, too.
I wonder whether Kelly’s angling for his own political career.

I believe I heard recently on a radio talk show that there is speculation that — rather than run for his wife’s seat — Kelly may attempt to run for the Senate from Texas (as a Democrat, of course) to take RINO Kay Bailey Hutchison’s seat.
Well, if Kelly replaces Hutchison, I guess no one will notice. The Senate votes will continue along the same basic line of ideology.

They can’t pin it on her but that won’t stop them from throwing excrement to see what sticks.
I’m really having a hart time feeling sorry from them if they keep playing this “guilt by subtle insinuations”.

For my money, Piers Morgan is one of the sleaziest, nastiest, most deranged individuals I ever met. That CNN would employ such a nasty, anti-American British sleazebucket to anchor one of their evening shows, just goes to prove how out of touch with real America CNN is.
For those who have forgotten about it, this same Piers Morgan used to be the editor of the notorioius anti-American British tabloid, The Mirror, which published fake pictures from some porn sites and sited them US and British troops abusing Iraqui prisoners:

On top of all that, the evil Mr Morgan still refused to aplogise for putting the lives of British troops in danger.
“According to one report Mr Morgan refused the demand to apologise, was sacked and immediately escorted from the building,” he said.
Morgan will be replaced on a temporary basis by his deputy, Des Kelly. “

So let me see if I get this right, Piers Morgan, who maliciously and deliberately publishedd fake pictures (from porn sites) of British and US troops abusing Iraqi prisoners, which lead directly to the beheading of American contractor Nicholas Berg(amongst others), is now(without any evidence), accusing Sarah Palin of causing Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords to be shot, by some madman who hadn't even seen the Palin map he refers to, and who had furthermore been stalking the congresswoman for 3 years prior to the shooting? What a creepy , disgusting fellow Piers Morgan is.
