Silver Spring officers responded to the 7-Eleven store located at 12257 Tech Road for the report of a mass theft. Preliminary investigation revealed that approximately 50 teens and young adults simultaneously entered the 7-Eleven and stole items, to include snacks and drinks.
Officers were able to stop a group of six individuals, ranging in age from 16 to 18. Each of the suspects had items from the 7-Eleven and none could provide a receipt for the items.
Detectives are exploring the possibility that the suspects in this incident had been attending a birthday party in the area.
The police department is releasing video of this mass theft and asking for the public's assistance in identifying the individuals involved in this incident.

The store should have a way to lock the front door when they suspect something like this is going to happen lock them all in then call the police or better still have the store owner armed with a shot gun to hold them till police arrive.
