Well, I hope so, SoF. But if you remember, in ‘O8, he ran like a coward when McCain suggested more debates.

Oh, don’t be too sure he and his LSM pals can’t find a way for him to wiggle out of the debates.

He’s busy, after all.

And he’s really busy because he has to do everything BY HIMSELF. /s

How hard can it be to find a candidate that is acceptable to the majority of the base.

The country is supposed to be moderately conservative and let every election we end of with 2 liberals?

It never even crosses my mind that Romney would get the nomination. I have always thought he was toast and I simply don’t consider him as a possibility when talking about the GOP nomination.

So many say we have to support this guy or that guy or else we get Romney.

I think anyone who ends up in our top three can take out Romney.

Well, if 32% go third party it means 4 more years of Obama. If that’s what the people want, then that’s what the people will get.

I'll show you people...

Unless _________ is my nominee, I'm voting third party!

Romney is positively radioactive to any real conservative. His lack of movement is an obvious indicator.

This is why Romney is never going to be the nominee.

Whoever ends up in our top three, one of those two guys is going to become the anti-Romney.

Great angry soundbite, but 32%? Really? Maybe they say that *now*.

Which third party? Who's running on it? What do they stand for? No, really, what do *they* stand for as opposed to what their party line says they stand for?

Mayhap it was. If it was satire, then it perfectly sums up the attitude Rove conveys in his interviews. I was reacting more to the persona Rove exhibits when he speaks, than to the quote given.

Really...tell us how your above is any different from anti-Obama sentiment?

Let's say...25% of Iowa GOP would vote for Romney in the general election with real support.

Let's say 30% go third-party.

And, just to have a "landing place" for the other 45%, let's say they hold their nose and vote for Romney as an "anti-Obama" vote.

I don't see you addressing the almost half of GOP voters who might hold their nose & vote for Romney due to anti-Obamaism:

You could say the exact same thing about them! Great angry soundbite [vs. Obama], but 45%? Really? Maybe they say that *now* [that they'd hold their nose & vote for Romney]. What does Romney REALLY stand for, flopper that he is? Who's really running Romney's social-issues schizophrenic mind? Besides, if you say now that you'll vote for-anybody-but-Obama, What does that anybody-but-Obama stand for? No, really, what does that anybody-but-Obama really stand for as opposed to what Romney really stand[s] for?

So, c'mon Tanniker, tell us: Really...what are the GOP voters who say they will vote for anybody but Obama really getting? Can you tell us? What would that person REALLY stand for? As opposed to waffle for? Or would they get a Gingrich on any given issue that FREEPERs might crit him for the most? Would they get a Ron Paul who's libertarian on not just economic issues but social issues as well?

You can't tell us, can you?

So why do you think your questions are so unique to potential third-party voters?

And where have your questions been on any given thread -- questions addressed to the anybody-but-Obama crowd?

Michael Medved on his radio program today call this "absolutely alarming."

No, what's alarming is that a so-called conservative radio host is shilling for the most liberal candidate available. THAT is alarming.

No. What it means is that conservatives are giving the GOP fair warning of our intentions. Now that notice has been served, the GOP would be idiotic to force this clown on us, don't you think?
