From the article:
The poll also found that although 77 percent of respondents said they would vote for any GOP candidate who received the nomination, 32 percent said that they would consider a third-party candidate if Mitt Romney, the partys projected frontrunner, won the Republican nod.
Michael Medved on his radio program today call this "absolutely alarming."
No, Michael. The "absolutely alarming" thing is for Romney to win the GOP nomination!
Romney is a pro-abort still wearing his pro-life Halloween costume.
He is a socialist healthcare surgeon still wearing his Obama hospital gown.
This actually shows some "smarts" about them for up to 1/3rd of Iowa GOP voters.
Now, for the rest of you Iowa voters: What's wrong with you?

[32% say will go third-party if Romney wins] Count me in Georgia's group for that one.

Personally I’m a Cain fan however Gingrich would make Obama wet himself if he had to debate him.
No really... I would actually feel sorry for Obama because Gingrich would eviscerate him during a debate.

Well, if 32% go third party it means 4 more years of Obama. If that’s what the people want, then that’s what the people will get.
Obama has to be loving this. One of the worst presidents in history and he’s going to win because people don’t think Romney is conservative enough and yet, by their actions, they will usher in the most liberal president in history for four more years.
The irony is incredible.

Funny thing about words is that they mean something. 32% would consider voting for third party.

They will play the race card against Gingrich at every turn.
What would be curious is if Gingrich would turn into McCain'
ultra PC attitude.

32% say will go third-party if Romney wins I will go third party or write in if Romney is the nominee, but I will definitely vote!
I pray that all conservatives will also vote no matter what, especially if Romney is the nominee. With Romney v. Obama, we have a 100% guarantee that the White House will be pushing for an expanded (and unconstitutional) federal government. In that situation, we definitely need the most conservative Congress imaginable. Vote on election day 2012. Get your friends to vote on election day 2012. We can't afford to let the left and the center choose a Congress that will follow either Barack or Mitt. If it's Mitt, we need 100% turnout among living patriotic Americans. We know the dead will be out in numbers never seen before to vote for Obama.

Oops.... it looks like Paul’s nut-bar is within striking distance of Cain’s train.
Well heck, they can’t all win.

And somebody has to know that many conservatives would go third party if Romney is the nominee, and they are preparing now to take advantage of it when the time comes.

Agree with you. With a Republican Congress, Romney would be signing their bills.....a celery stalk would be better than 4 more years of Obama... and what about the Supreme Court? One more liberal; we may as well all move to Costa Rica.

Well, if 32% go third party it means 4 more years of Obama. If thats what the people want, then thats what the people will get. And I saw on TV today that Donald Trump is still loitering in the wings, threatening a possible run. That would guarantee an Obama win.
To: Colofornian
32% of iowa republicans equals maybe fifty voters? And then factor in that only 9% of iowans actually partake in the caucus. And of that group half are Obama registered democrats from Illinois. It’s much ado about nothing.

Romney could always drop out and let the “moderate” Republicans decide if they wanted a conservative or Obama.
