Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (WTH? Hussein rising?)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 14 November 2011 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 11/14/2011 6:56:26 AM PST by ScottinVA

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15 (see trends).

That’s the president’s best Approval Index rating in three months. Still, most voters continue to favor repeal of his primary legislative accomplishment, the health care law.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook

Overall, 50% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's job performance. That’s the first time since June that the president has reached the 50% mark. Forty-nine percent (49%) at least somewhat disapprove.

It makes all the nauseating posts about a MSM on a deathwathc here at FR very seem foolish.

ALL POLLS, that is without exception all public released polls are for profit marketing tools to shape public opinion. They only work as long as gullible people pay attention to them. Best poll is to ask people you know and what you see from people you learned to trust.

It could be the trouble is that they are not excited by the GOP candidates.

I can't speak for others, but the people I know and trust tend conservative. It won't be a good representation of the public at large. That's why I take all those anectotes of "everyone I talk to says he's toast" with a pound of salt.

Consider, This Pollster consistently shows Romney as one of the top 3 with strong double digit results. Yet 3/4 of conservatives and most evangelicals can’t stand him. Common sense tells you hes not doing well at all. Yet...

Agreed

Let’s not all go jumping off a cliff just yet. Polls are just polls. They can be skewed for a number of different reasons.

I think it’s mostly because the dipsh!t has been going against his character and keeping his piehole shut for a few days. But that’ll change. The king of narcissism can’t stay out of the spotlight for long.

Also, a factor I believe that if anyone else’s life is like mine, this is an extremely busy time of the year and I pay attention to politics just a little less.

He simply didn’t do anything abismally stupid last week that would grab headlines. Media occupied with Occupy, Cain, and lost babies. Solyndra, Siga under the radar.
And he’s on vacation again - which is good for his numbers.

Well he definitely is rebounding off the dismal numbers during summer. The question remains in the battleground States of FL, OH, VA, NV, NC, CO and IN. I suspect that much of his support is confined to blue States and urban areas.

You are one of the posters who knew this was coming. Both of us have been minorly flamed suggesting that beating Obama will be a huge challenge.

At this point, if I was handicapping, I’d make Obama 3:2 favorite.

Been trying to tell people the same thing. Yet it seems like the majority here on FR have managed to convince themselves Obama could not be re-elected - even though polling actually shows him faring remarkably well considering what a terrible job he has done. This absurd, echo chamber fantasy that Obama is going to be so easy to beat that we can just run anybody is absolute foolishness. Obama will be extremely difficult to defeat, he will get no less than 45% of the vote and is more likely to get closer to 50% of vote. IF we win in 2012, it will probably be by a very slim margin.

Ramussen is by far the most accurate pollster...it is a mistake to simply dismiss his polls when they don’t tell you what you want to hear.

Humble pie for those who thought Obama was toast. 2012 will be an epic struggle and if we win it will be by the skin of our teeth.

From what I hear people say, and what I read, you’re on the money.

You are totally right. When it comes to presidential election, at the end of the day, the challenger should excite and it has not happened. I think, obama campaign is doing a brilliant job of destroying every viable republican candidate, one at a time. For example in sept and start of october, they destroyed rick perry. End of october and November, they are destroying cain candidate. When they do so, they make us take our eyes of Obama

But having said that, folks look at the 2011 election

Virginia-—Democrats got a huge defeat
Ohio-———Unions won their bargaining issue BUT, democrats lost big with the Obama Care. If I was part of Obama campaign, I will be worried because, the same union crowd voted no for Obama health care.

The simple reason is that several GOP candidates’ cults, have been using Alinsky tactics against other Republicans.

Instead of against the left.

Ignoring Reagan’s 11th Commandment.

Reagan was right.
