MUSLIM HOMELAND SECURITY ADVISOR ACCUSED OF LEAKING DOCUMENTS

Out of a 26-member advisory council, the Department of Homeland Security allowed just one advisor, Mohammed Elibiary, special access to a nationwide database that includes terror watch lists and FBI sensitive reports. Now, the Texas Muslim is being accused of leaking some of those documents to the media with the stated goal of damaging Texas governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry. Elibiary asserts that the documents show what he calls the “Islamophobia” of Texas government agencies.

CBN News reports:

He’s accused of taking confidential documents from the Texas Department of Public Safety and shopping them to the media. “Within hours of getting access he had downloaded those documents and began marketing to these publications,” investigative journalist Patrick Poole told CBN News. “Oddly enough, Elibiary sits on the Texas Department of Public Safety Advisory Council,” Poole said. “This was his own agency that he was sabotaging — or trying to sabotage.” Even more disturbing, is that Elibiary has committed some highly dubious acts before. In 2004, he spoke at a conference honoring Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini, calling him a “great Islamic visionary,” and has praised former Muslim Brotherhood leader Sayyid Qutb.

According to CBN, Elibiary has also publicly condemned the prosecution of Hamas fundraisers in the United States.

What I do not understand, and someone correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this illegal? I was always under the impression that it was against the law for a president, or any office holder, to use government assets, property, and employees for political, re-election, and personal purposes.

Mohamed Elibiary wears two hats, one as the Founder of Lone Star Intelligence LLC, a Security Crisis Consulting Firm, and the other as President of The Freedom and Justice Foundation (F&J), a Texas Muslim interfaith community relations and state public policy educational nonprofit.

As a Dallas-based Texas Muslim community leader, Mohamed co-founded the Freedom and Justice Foundation (F&J) in November 2002 to help Texas Muslims achieve multiple firsts such as Imam Prayers in both chambers of the State Legislature (House & Senate) and passage of the Halal Food Law as Texas’s first Muslim consumer protection statute.

Mohamed helped co-found in 2006 the North Texas Islamic Council (NTIC), a regional coordination (shura) body for dozens of area Mosques, Islamic schools and community groups serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex’s estimated 150,000+ Muslim citizens. In addition to the multiple federal and state government advisory roles Mohamed performs, he has maintained his grassroots practitioner role and currently voluntarily serves in a spokesman capacity for the largest Muslim congregation in Texas, the Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT), aka the Dallas Central Mosque.

When Mohamed Elibiary was appointed earlier this year to the Department of Homeland Security’s newly-formed Countering Violent Extremism Working Group, it was done quietly and without fanfare. It’s hard to believe that this silence was accidental, considering Elibiary’s appearance at a conference honoring Ayatollah Khomeini, his attacks on prosecution of terrorist fundraisers, his active promotion of jihadist ideology godfather Sayyid Qutb, and the threat he made against a Dallas Morning News journalist who repeatedly exposed his extremist views.

But none of that has stopped Mohamed Elibiary from promoting himself as a “de-radicalization” expert courted not only by Janet Napolitano and the Department of Homeland Security, but testifying before Congress earlier this year, giving briefings to the Congressional Research Service, and being hailed by the establishment media.

Yes, it is illegal. You still have to get DHS and the DOJ to do something about it. I recommend not holding your breath.

How ironic: his actions could be seen as a security risk.

Also from Breitbart’s site:

When Elibiary testified before Congress earlier this year, his status as a “de-radicalization expert” was challenged by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, who noted his running online feud with Dallas Morning News editorial page editor Rod Dreher over Elibiary’s defense of the godfather of jihadist ideology, Sayyid Qutb. The 9/11 Commission observed that Qutb was instrumental in developing the ideological foundations of Al-Qaeda’s terrorist worldview that justified the 9/11 attacks and inspired Osama bin Laden.

When Elibiary was cited as an expert source by the Congressional Research Service in a study published last November, Dreher recounted some of the defenses made by Elibiary in defense of Qutb in response to an editorial identifying the threat from Qutb’s jihadist ideology. This included Elibiary’s stated position that some who have read Qutb’s writings saw “the potential for a strong spiritual rebirth that’s truly ecumenical allowing all faiths practiced in America to enrich us and motivate us to serve God better by serving our fellow man more.” Dreher reprinted some of Qutb’s statements calling for the establishment of a global Islamic state, the imposition of shariah law, and carrying out violence against non-Muslims and non-compliant Muslims until the entire world is in submission to Allah and Islamic law.

People who say they will stay home on election day if the GOP candidate is not conservative enough for them (aka RINO) should think about who they want making appointments like this for a additonal 4 years.

These folks have learned well. Easy to see what is 'really' going down here. As no doubt; the 'powers that be' must know - and, seemingly; are just fine with.

Just like ACORN or even, 'People for the American Way' (yeah right. . .) And a gazillion others. . .

Worse here; is the lack of 'Patriot' scutiny; and ignoring the danger/wargning signs that signal the 'who/what' of this man and his endeavors.

No question, in my mind of course; that Obama,INC. know precisely what he is about.

Ole Janet strikes again. Let’s just hand the muslims the keys to the country and get it over with. They are just taking it piece by piece and the idiot Napolitano is their lap dog.

One only needs to look at what is happening in Great Britain to understand what is coming here. The Muslims have already essentially taken over that country and in another 10 years or less they will be under Sharia Law.
