Nebraska’s Senator Ben Nelson released this statement after opposing the $58 billion Rebuild America Jobs Act.
“While I agree infrastructure is a priority, the most important step Congress can take to create jobs is to get Washington’s fiscal house in order. Given that, the Rebuild America bill goes in the wrong direction because it raises taxes for billions of dollars in new spending,” said Senator Nelson.

The 51-49 vote fell well short of the 60 votes required under Senate procedures to start work on the bill. Every Republican opposed the president, as did Democrat Ben Nelson of Nebraska...
I hope the folks in Nebraska are not that stupid.

Well, he’s not even popular in his hometown. Out west here his a$$ is toast. The liberals in the state tend to cluster around Omaha and Lincoln but there may be enough conservatives to shut them down.
they are not...this has the makings of a real win-win for the GOP; i see no way Nelson wins re-election despite the fact he’ll be out there voting against ayatollah obama’s policies for the next year...

Good to hear. Ole Ben should be tired of getting jeered-at and ridiculed and just retire, but he’s hooked on the power and perks. Start the rumor that he’s a closet Texas fan and he’ll be run out on a rail!

He'll retire...why go through another campign he's likely to lose, in in the event that he can manage to snooke the people of NE one more time, and win, he'll be in the minority, and that's no fun..nope..he goes..
He’s running. All you have to do is see the huge number of commercials he runs every day to try to blunt the commercials already running against him for obamacare, the cornhusker kickback, etc. He’s certainly financed from out of state big money sources.
According to several stories this week..he has told everyone he won’t decide until about year’s end. And thta’s why the Dems are pissed. If they have ANY siliver of a chance to hold the senate, they have to keep Nelson’s seat. So it’s OUTSIDE sources, NOT Nelson’s campaign..that’s spending all the $$ for the ads you mention.

When Puppet Head sold out for Obamacare, I promised myself I would send some $ to the candidate who runs against him, and I intend to keep that promise. (and I do not live in NE) Nelson is an odious weasel.
Oh, absolutely. In Nebraska we know he isn’t getting much from in-state contributors and his very expensive ad campaign is obviously funded from outside.
Dems are also upset that if he’s NOT gonna run, they can’t get a candidate in place..have you heard if any Dems might make the race?
