Karl Rove swats Herman Cain for accusing Rick Perry (Romney stooge Rove continues his attacks...)
Politico ^ | 11/4/11 | ALEXANDER BURNS

Posted on 11/04/2011 4:45:38 AM PDT by jimbo123

Karl Rove said Friday that Herman Cain had no evidence to accuse the Rick Perry campaign of driving negative stories against him, arguing that Cain did "exactly what [he is] accusing the media of doing."

Rove said in an appearance on "Fox and Friends" that the "best way" for Cain to survive this week is to get the National Restaurant Association to release new information about the sexual harassment complaints lodged against him in the 1990s.

Rove has been unpopular here since he helped lead the GOP implosion starting in 2006 and again in 2008. His brand of lite conservatism damn near destroyed the party...until thankfully the voters regained control of the party in 2009 and 2010 and injecting a new generation of conservative solutions. Rove is the origin of compassionate conservate meme that at best got the party two squeaker wins....when the party is strongly conservative they win virtually every time, and with huge margins. Rove is a cancer inside the GOP.

Since it's bound to come up by anti-Perry posters:

Disclosure reports show that neither Bob Perry [Perry Homes/home builder] nor his wife have donated to Rick Perry's presidential bid. Bob Perry has given money to other candidates but not to Rick Perry. The biggest recipient is Mitt Romney. Bob Perry and his wife gave a combined $5,000 to Romney's early this year and $500,000 to the super PAC Restore Our Future that supports Romney.

In 2008, they supported Romney's nomination with a $5,000 donation between them. According to disclosure reports Gov Tim Pawlenty received a combined $10,000 to his presidential campaign and another $60,000 to his political action committee from Bob Perry and his wife. Bob Perry is also the top donor to the Karl Rove-linked super PAC American Crossroads.

Donors to Bush absent for Perry [9-1 support Romney] "Donors to Bush absent for PerryWASHINGTON — Fewer than one in 10 of the top fundraisers who helped George W. Bush shatter records for presidential campaign money in 2000 and 2004 have donated to Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s 2012 presidential campaign, a Houston Chronicle analysis of Federal Election Commission data has found.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney holds a wide lead over other GOP presidential hopefuls in donations received from the 939 “Pioneers” and “Rangers” who raised at least $100,000 each for the Bush presidential efforts.

Romney has received 148 donations totaling $351,250 from Bush’s top money people, compared with Perry’s 87 contributions worth $213,000 and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s 47 donations for $102,867."......

The Rhino Rider is riding Perry...
Making a Rhino look like an Elephant is strange business..

If I wasnt so lazy I’d write a song about the Rino Rider..
Could use “Riders on the storm” as a base..

A few days ago, Juan Williams said on FOX News that Rove was the one who leaked the information about Herman Cain.

"Could someone please explain to me Fox News’ and Sean Hannity’s obsession with providing Tokyo Rove with a platform to dispense his bile on almost a daily basis?"

Hannity gave Cain lots of time on his radio show yesterday to clear up the questions.

Limbaugh devoted almost his entire radio show yesterday to the Cain stuff.

It's obvious to me that both Limbaugh AND Hannity support Herman Cain, although they say they haven't taken sides!

Thank you for posting that. I was thinking the same thing these last few weeks, about how ROVE was the FR darling. You “Magnificent Bastard!”, was always the THEME.

Rove is very smart, maybe not to everyone's liking, but he is smart and in this matter he is CORRECT. Cain should not have accused the Perry camp without facts and proof. I believe it was a deliberate set up against Perry. Perry is Cains biggest obstacle. Cain has a problem of shooting from the hip with his cutsy statements.

This is not going to end well for Cain, if he keeps up the disclosure/nondisclosure, accusations, denials, retracted denials, etc. This is not the type Person I want to be President, we already have one of those.

Having said all this, I'm still open to be persuaded via what comes next. I don't need anything back from a Cainite, or Perryite, or Newtite. These are MY OPINIONS ONLY, take it or leave it.

Rove you are a Buffoon,
Mr Cain, The best way to survive and have a little fun would be for you to immediately hire Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broderick as your new SPECIAL ADVISORS on Sexual Harassment and refer all press questions regarding this subject to them. Watch the Media drop this instantly.

I feel like Cain was our Obi-Wan, our only hope of stopping Romney, and he’s flaked on us. I don’t think he’s disciplined enough to beat Obama or to be an effective president. Such a drag.

Every time Rove opens his mouth he assures me that he’s every bit as bad as the Left said he was and that a clock that’s not working is right twice a day.

AGREED.

Here is the problem for me now with Cain.

Deny, then "well there was a baseless accusation", then make ACCUSATIONS himself about Perry, then on and on and on.

I saw him the other day with reporters, and he didn't want to talk about it. Hollered at them, "What'd I say?", and "Excuuuuuussse Me" (attitude).

He is just not put together correctly for a President, and scary for a world leader. CEO, ok. Don't get me wrong, he is a very smart and intelligent man.

I saw this interview and it was disgusting---and I've supported Rove on numerous occasions. This constant "Herman Cain mishandled it" is utter garbage. I've consulted with a lawyer to see exactly what the NRA can release that doesn't open them to new lawsuits and/or serve as an admission of guilt, but I'm betting it's not much.

Furthermore, THE NOTION THAT ANY "HANDLING" WILL MAKE THIS GO AWAY IS ABSURD. The left will never accept any proof, explanation, or reasons for NOT destroying our leading candidate, and if the Perry/Romney people haven't figured that out yet, they are dumber than I thought.

I didn’t like Rove when he was with Pres. Bush. Thought his advice was poor.
I really dislike him now. But that’s the way to get TV face time. Be a repub contrarian and the MSM beats down your door.
