GOod point. Cain will never match Newt on Foreign Policy, the man is an encyclopedia, but he is getting briefings and he is a quick study. His answers on O’Reilly last night about Iran were as astute as any other candidate I’ve seen:

I would like to agree with you, but it is Gov. Perry's followers who have been in full on attack mode. Last night referring to his attacks on Herman Cain, bullypulpit told me,

“When you’re going to get shot at on a bomb run, you don’t drop half the payload. You drip every freakin’ one of the Mk-117s you have. And I ain’t done yet. Enjoy the show.”

Admittedly, alcohol may have been fueling his bravado, but if you read the other Cain smear threads here, he is certainly not alone. These guys are not acting like gentlemen and they certainly are not adhering to Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment who he attributed to Gaylord Parkinson, “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.” It is a very sad state of affairs when the followers of someone claiming to be a “Reagan Republican” engage in this type of behavior.

You probably also saw Condoleezza Rice on Hannity. She was coy in her answers, but would not rule out a run as Vice President. Can you imagine the liberal heads that would explode if she somehow became Herman Cain's running-mate?

I had two uncles doing high end math for the military, one of them Navy ballistics, the other doing fluid dynamics for some scientific/military think tank. Both of these men were bona fide geniuses. The expectations in that role are extremely high. Cain could not have performed to those expectations were he not an exceptional intellect. The suit he wears may not be tailored for a typical politician, but it is by no means empty.
