Hi AB!

Great to learn you got to see Herman Cain in person. He is definitely an inspirational speaker. I've been very impressed with Cain since attending the September Presidency V weekend in Orlando. That's when Cain's poll numbers began seriously climbing. I've got Cain yard signs, buttons and bumper stickers. All in for the win!

I think you are right. They can’t really come down on Cain because then it would be all right for us to come down on the dear leader and they don’t want that. The race card is a huge play for them. If they lose it they could lose everything.

Why do all these “conservatives” have a “tax plan” and only screwball Ron Paul actually proposes massive SPENDING CUTS?

Perry's plan addresses spending and revenue. It is called a "Cut, Balance and Grow" Plan.

Few people are able to digest or understand current events. Most are caught up in sports, family, or even trick or treat. The uninformed will decide who will be President.

Sensible as usual, MM. I waited too late to see Perry on Fox but will watch the re-run.

I just hope all the infighting doesn’t cause us to end up with Romney. The conservatives are fighting so hard amongst themselves that they seem to have forgotten both Romney and Obama.

But, a random pick out of the Dallas phone directory would be better than Obama, so I suggest we concentrate on that.

It’s fine to have a favorite candidate and love him/her to death, but beware of hateful dissing of other people’s favorites. We don’t know what might happen to a particular candidate so it’s better not to dismiss the others.

Also, remember that the House and Senate are so important. We need more real conservatives in the House and a majority in the Senate. That will be a balance in case Romney wins.

I believe Cain has talked about completely abolishing the EPA and starting over with a very small group of pro-business scientists.

Well, like 9-9-9, abolishing EPA is something that will never actually HAPPEN. Although I’m all for it.

I think there needs to be a site called “collectivehistoricalmemory.com”

There is a condition that permeates inside the Beltway [and frequently the east and west coast news media] -- Short Memory Syndrome. It especially happens to news people and to politicians. Give them 4 years or more inside the beltway and their recall goes nearly blank. Apparently, there is not cure, either.

This is why I don’t want everyone voting. The media always pushes “participation” as a good thing.

If you don’t understand what’s going on, please just stay home. I think a lot of voters just randomly pick candidates like poor students pick answers on multiple choice exams.

However, it’s how our system is set up, so until we get a law screening voters for knowledge of current events (which will never be passed) we are stuck with what we have.

This is why it is important to have a candidate who not only has conservative principles but LOOKS good. Sorry to say so, but a lot of people vote on the visuals.

The Chris Wallace interview, actually grilling , of Rick Perry was tough but for Perry a very good outcome. I think Perry is back in the game with this FOX appearance and that if he continues to be as personable and intellectually agile as he came across to me he will make a good presidential opponent to Obama. Romney may be the establishment choice but it will take a solid conservative House and Senate to keep him on the straight and narrow and that is too iffy to chance. Cain looks good to me as well but I like the Perry governor experience as being more solid for the presidential office. We shall see if Perry remains confident and self assured as he projected this AM.

Because until your reform the tax code and broaden the tax base so everyone has skin in the game spending guts are always temporary.
Reagan cut more then any other President and all the spending came right back. Spending cuts by themselves do not structurally change the system. Our tax system is structure to reward the takers and punish the givers.

As long as you allow the takers a free ride, they will always vote for those politicans promising to make other people pay for their gimmies.

Spending cuts without tax code reform are putting the cart before the horse.

LOL! You’ll make a GREAT Demovik someday. “We can’t really cut the spending until we triple your taxes. Turst us.”

Additionally, the RATs have painted the budget into such a corner that some obvious and necessary cuts (SS) are real complicated and would take a phase-in as we have heard in the past. (Bush's meager modification called "privatizing sosh-security)

Try playing the budget cutting game yourself...search "Budget Hero"

Good catch but when top military leaders suggest that 15,000 is the number of troops to leave and then the regime leaves 150—1%, its time to get pissed. They are sacrificing 9 years and 4,000 lives for political benefits in an election they cant win. More chaos, destruction of the country, devaluation the of the U.S. worldwide, IMHO.
