Pelley: Bob, I wonder how seriously should we take the Cain campaign?
Schieffer: I think it has to be taken very seriously at this point, Scott, and here's why. Think about this: Mitt Romney has been plodding along at about 25 percent in the polls and it's like he's been running most of his life. Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, gets into the race, zooms immediately to the top in the polls, has a couple of stumbles, and goes back down.
But then you take Herman Cain, who has no real campaign staff, has not raised very much money -- some people weren't even sure he was serious about this. He's gotten in, he makes a couple stumbles, and he keeps going up. Somehow or the other, Herman Cain is connecting with a big segment of Republican voters right now and that's why he can no longer be ignored.

Yes, this actually is good in a way (he is in the big leagues for sure now and a true conservative is challenging their annointed would-be kings) but reading it another way, it could also simply mean the official end of PHASE 1 of the GANDHI RULE to overturning oppressive, immoral power--which is what Obama's Reign of Terror is.First they IGNORE YOU.
Then they RIDICULE.
Then they ATTACK YOU.
Then you WIN.
I really believe all the hit pieces are really going to start coming out now by the Establishment, the New York Times let one go (like a cheap fart) just 20 minutes ago.
Seriously, they have not had somebody come by this way and step on their rice bowls (their terribly collusive, corrupt and nefarious personal interests -- power) in a LONG TIME.
I would say, double up security and also double up the counter attacks right back on them, but with humor, positive-thinking and Reaganesque pivoting and teflon maneuvering. This man will need every prayer that is out there and every political foot soldier that can be pressed into immediate service. All hands on deck. Eagles UP! Herman Cain, 2012!!
