Clashes between Karl Rove and conservatives becoming more frequent
The Daily Caller ^ | 10/27/2011 | Alex Pappas

Democrats have long enjoyed bashing Karl Rove, former White House adviser and architect of the campaigns that put President George W. Bush in office.

But clashing with the longtime Republican operative and Fox News contributor is now catching on for another group: conservatives, especially those affiliated with the tea party movement.

Among the most high profile of these recent attackers are former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and, now, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

Carl rove is becoming the poster child for “republican does not equal conservative”. There are a lot of democrats in the south who ARE conservative, btw.

Clashes between Karl Rove and conservatives becoming more frequent ...

Alex Pappas and theDC are waaaaayyyyy behind the times. Alex, sign up to FR and get clued in.

But one conservative who took Rove’s side this week was Fox analyst Brit Hume.

“Look, if you’re running for president, you don’t want to get into a fight with Karl Rove,” he said. “That makes no sense.”

LOL. Funny stuff. Brit hasn't a clue about what the Tea Party movement is or its depth and breadth.

Carl Rove doesn’t want to give up the power of determining who the Republican candidate will be . While an excellent tactician , he is part of the “ole-time party” folks that got us into this tax and spend cycle with ALL the folks in Washington.

Either get on board ... , or get out of the way !!
We are trying to save the country from financial ruin, and he is one of the ole-time operatives . No more RHINO’s !!

Porky Pig was on Fox last night touting a recent CNN poll that showed Mittens leading in 4 of the early primary States. What Rove failed to mention was that the CNN poll was bogus at best. It polled a miniscule number of “registered republicans and independents” rather than likely republican primary voters.

This guy is not an elected official or even a big money donor. He has become an interloper opposing a resurgent conservative movement.
Go away Mr. Magoo and drive yourself down a blind alley.

I find it alarming that so many conservatives try to villify everyone who expresses an opinion they don’t like. It’s a shallow and dangerous approach.

Sometimes those who disagree with me aren’t evil — they’re just, in my opinion, wrong. But I need to listen to understand their point of view and refute it.

Rove has years of experience. He’s not involved in a campaign now, and he can speak his mind.

It’s naive and silly to ignore or criticize him when we should be learning from him.

The reason we’re getting upset with him, is that Rove is actually hurting the conservative cause.

He has the philosophy that in order to win elections, we have to put forth a more moderate candidate.

That philosophy isn’t necessarily a bad one and I would be content to debate the merits of his idea.

But he feels that anyone who’s too far right (in his opinion) can’t win in a general election and must not be allowed to get that far. So he’s begun to deliberately crush anyone who’s not a moderate. (RINO)

There are many who believe that he cost us three senatorial elections in 2010. He has to realize that by bashing conservatives, he’s hurting the party.

Learn what from him??? That we should all vote for his guy Romney?

We have minds of our own & we don't need Rove teaching us anything. I couldn't care less what he thinks.

FNC is not the conservative channel, it is the establishment Republican channel, much like MSNBC is the Obama channel.

FNC tolerated the Tea party news much like MSNBC did Cindy Sheenan or now the OWSers, as long as they are useful to their party.

Unfortunately here in Maryland most Republicans are RINOS and like FNC and Rove. Everything North of central VA on the East coast is liberals and RINOs.

He is free to speak his mind. What we don’t like are his lies and his contempt for anything or anyone HE doesn’t agree with. His distortions of fact are becoming legendary.

I should have added that his ‘opinions’ are little more than rino-driven propaganda.

You can learn just as much from listening to James Carville, who also has years of experience, as you can from listening to Rove, who helped create the mess we're in. I don't ignore Rove, because I don't ignore my enemies, but I will certainly do every thing I can to undermine his influence. Oh, BTW, Rove is involved in a campaign now, Romney's campaign, has been from the start.

Rove has developed the bad habit of seeing things as he would have them be. Or, perhaps that tendency has always been there and has only become painfully evident recently. His belief that Herman Cain is going nowhere is evidenced by his frequent dismissal and/or ignoring of Cain’s standing in the polls.
