I am ashamed to admit that I agree with you.

The McRib is over-processed, possibly not real pork, definitely bad for you, and VERY easy (& fun) to make fun of, but I like the way it tastes.

I don’t know but in the Pantheon of human development the McRibb™ stands right up there as a landmark achievement.

Here is its innards, with the sauce removed:

That's bleached spam! Yikes.

Yet I'll eat White Castles and microwave burritos, so who am I to judge.

I’d rather have a McRib than the “riblets” from
Applebee’s, who know WHAT kind of animal THEY
came from???

A McRibb™ without sauce is like Hall without Oats.....

making a joke.

Kind of like how all candy corn ever made was produced in one batch and recirculated every Halloween - because so few actually eat it. ;)

“Maybe the wife and I eat ‘low’ on the food chain, but we always enjoy them. We even raise pork and grill often at home. We are outliers on the curve I guess.”

Don’t let the fast food snobs get you down. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a McRib.

I’m doing hcg. It works well. Lost 36 lbs between February and April. Gained 16 lbs back by the middle of this month though so have gone back to the diet. I’ve lost 13 of that in just a couple of weeks. I’ll remain on this diet until Thanksgiving. Hoping to lose on the order of 30 lbs by then.

It always makes a comeback this time of year. For some reason, McDonald’s only brings it out during the fall, during football season. Doesn’t matter to me. I don’t like it any time of year.

"It's pureed pork product (not sure what part of the pig)"

Remember the old Wendy's commercial for chicken sandwiches that proclaimed: "Parts is parts."

There is no reason to ever place a McRib anywhere near your mouth, when for the same money (or perhaps a bit more), you can have a real, Carolina pulled pork sandwich:

Unlike the McRib, it's made from something that once oinked. And it does not taste like rubber bands soaked in ketchup.
